For residential, First initial 300 unit you pay Rs 8.4 per unit. After that 17.4 per unit. I dont know why they charge you PKR 22-28 per unit.

If you live in an average house without AC 300 unit is average and it goes to 450 with light usage of a single AC

Not any more since hydel makeup 40% of total power generation. Now we have coal and rlng power plants too.

Btw i gonna pay 8100 for 450 units see the jump just with 100 unit increase its 2600 from your bill.

As you will go up like 600-700 units you will pay even way more.

If we are truly honest, the fault comes back to the public as we should be spitting on these leaders and kicking them out of power, rather than voting them again in to power because they built some roads.

For me this is unforgivable, this is like bombing your own country, If by 1995 or even 2000 we started these major dams, by 2010 we would have cheap hydol electricity and we would be exporting it also and by 2020 we could have started to introduce electric cars, buses, bikes. So hydol power is like oil/gas for us.

Major dams take time to construct and bring online. Till then, Mini dams are made. Quick construction, and operational within few days.

In 2019, 265 of them had be built so far.

I think these micro dams are not reality and work only during few seasons ,these types of small water streams are already used by public in local areas for generating electricity without govt help and they not produce significant power

We need loads more of these microdams. The UK has over 100 which create at least 1000mw. Even though it's a tiny country with a small population. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hydroelectricity_in_the_United_Kingdom

These can be used in rural areas to generate electricity on a small scale for remote localities.

There are also about 570 reserviors, which just store water. We need to build reserviors up an down the country to store water during the rainy season and then slowly drain during the year.

Major dams takes time and not good for political parties to start to get vote thsts why pmln gone for metro train etc which bring no $ and burden to the economy as well.
Pti on other hands going for major dams knowingly they may not be here in next election and by 2028 or 2030 we will have major dams as well. If Pmln started in 2013 or 2014 we would have by 2023.

So we are 10 years late and kala bagh is out of question thanks to ppp.
