true, though decades from 50's to 80's saw young people seeing socialism as hope to uplift india... they participated... and then reactionary thought took hold in the 90's.

aap has some socialist ideas like their "swaraj" direct-democracy idea, which was how libyan jamahiriya was arranged politically... and the communist parties are talking about reunification after their splittings in the 60's... so there is a resurgence in progressive thought in one form or another.

2017 will bring the 100th anniversary of the russian revolution... that should be the time by which socialism in not only india but all of south asia should have presented itself in a big way again... i hope to contribute to radical changes in my humble way.

Meaning any party that has the best economic advancement usually wins even if they are genocidal scumbags.
