hey guys. I'm taimur. I am a Pakistan national currently residing in US. I migrated 4 years ago from a middle class family. I am doing civil engineering and deliver pizzas on the weekends.

my interests are rock climbing, boxing, soccer and poker.

i got here by surfing pakistan news. i don't know how active i will be because i primarily created an account to vote on the poll about imran khan. i wanted to say that i don't support burning down cities and the parliament.

i have gone through some of the forum and most of it is what is to be expected, but i am not too judgemental.

so i look forward to meeting you here my fellow countrymen!

Khush Amedid Taimur. I had three part time jobs while going through Uni. Hard work pays off. Best of Luck

Wow, you use the same words as us when welcoming someone.
We also say "Khosh amadi"

I wonder how much more Urdu and Farsi are related

yeah. i know all about that. but i couldn't do full time work and uni together. i had to start working asap. so i took 2 years off. drove a cab first, then served food and finally became a poker dealer. eventually saved enough to go to college.

You deserve respect.

Arabic + Farsi + Turkish + Hindi and other sub languages like Punjabi, Pashto and Sindhi = Urdu.

If you are good at Fardi, Urdu becomes easier to learn and vis a vis.
