to the situation you have given i would say "Thugs attack innocent couple",I wouldn't put religion in to it.

What does religion have to do with thugs or saving someone.. Human have an instict to react in defence towards their fellows in trouble. Same instict is demostrated by birds and animals..remeber when you see a crow getting killed by power lines how suddenly thousands of them gathers around the deceased and mourn?? or when a cat gets run over by car many of the felines gather around to mourn??
