Having more airports is good for your country. It encourages tourism and trade. It increases your GDP and creates jobs.

Running a loss-making airline is putting additional burden on your economy. It should be corrected asap.

There's a lot of things that are good for our country.

Then why not shut it down. Why ordinary Pakistanis / Tax payers have to pay millions of dollars for its losses every month.
But, I am sure PIA can be sold because it has many assets (aircrafts, other buildings etc. ) Any private entity that will buy it will know that with professional staff, they will make it profitable as soon as they take charge. Ofcourse they will bring their own staff and layoff massive number of Kaamchors.

Political parties especially PPP don't want to sell it as they had inducted 1000s of Jiyalas in these organisations. Also note, PPP was the first one which forcedfully aquired / nationalized all profitable organizations.

This dichotomy of left vs right doesn’t hold true. Both have their fair share of honest and dishonest.

Coming to Roosevelt hotel, the state has no business running a hotel. The best Pakistan can aim for is to lease out the land to lessees and get it over with.
