I am unable to login. My computer freezes at the windows logo with the ring underneath it revolving forever. Tried installing win 8.1. again but then computer freezes at " setup is starting ". screen. Sometimes automatic recovery starts but then screen turns black and nothing happens. Tried installing windows 7 but im that case, computer hangs at the installation options screen and no input devices respond there either, which otherwise respond okay. Help me either login or install a fresh copy of windows. Thankyou.

maybe a hardware problem? you can't get into windows in safe mode?

Sounds like your RAM could be corrupted. You should do a memcheck using the windows 8 or 7 startup disk.

When you tried re-installing, did you first wipe/format your hard drive? If not, it could be a corrupt previous install.

Are your input devices connected via USB?

Is your system UEFI or MBR, and are the install disks also matching?

Safe mode also freezes

1-UEFI I do not know what it means by disk matching. 2- Yes with USB, I tried combinations, even attempted with a ps2 mouse changed the usb ports but still no effect. 3- The windows installation process freezes before I could wipe my HDD or do anything. For win 7, it freezes after loading files, displaying windows logo and then at options, it freezes. 4- I will try doing a RAM memcheck but can you tell for sure that my hard disk is OK as I feel that there is something wrong with my HDD.

Do you use a graphics/game card? if you do then remove it and run the computer with motherboard built-in graphics card

It's most likely your ram issue...

When I faced similar issue I tried to install the lightest version of windows possible. I remember Windows 7 of Spanish version worked for me... lol but the file size of that installation was very less compared to full version... try to find a portable version of windows and try... (you can easily change the language after your install the windows)

It's not a best of fix as you might need to consider replacing hardware or selling your laptop soon

It's not a laptop, but problem is that so called computer repairmen in the market do not know much either, they will do hit and trail and even declare a fine piece of hardware as faulty. Then there is way too much fleecing in this bussiness. I had a thread in pipeline which I would have posted some time today. Cant compose with cell phone.
