Help me a little regarding depression...

First start listening Quran daily
After every namaaz put your right hand on your heart and recite yaa salaamu 33 times
Do same in your bedtime before going to sleep.
Do not miss namaaz for any reason keep on reciting salawat daily minimum 100 times .
As soon as negative thoughts comes in your mind say la hawla wala kuwata illa billa 3 times and spit on ur left solder.
Take some natural herbs like ashwagandha very good for anxiety and depression or take niacin vitamin b6.
In sha Allah you will be alright.

Hello..I am 24 years old. I have been suffering from depression/negative feelings/thoughts for quite long...I m so stressed now a days due to genuine feelings and vice versa. I feel my depression has started impacting on my body...I also feel little unusual in my heart whenever I am getting depressed/Tense, little pain also occurs in heart, may be because as my mind gets tense, it also negatively affects heart.

I gets tense too early and start worrying (feeling hopelessness) even on little issues...But now I think this problem is jeopardizing my health...

I need some tips/therapy/suggestions from you guys..How can I get rid of depression forever.

24 is a nice age to motivate yourself to exercise and chart out a fitness regimen for yourself.While you do that eat healthy.

Establish a book reading habit to learn from other's experience.

Set up goals for yourself in life.And set the bar high.Like in the next 2 to 3 years what do you want to achieve and where do you want to be.Later on you can amend those based upon different circumstances that you may be facing in future.

Invest in future.Be your own hero.You are unique.Nobody is like you or have been through the unique experience you have been through.Exterminate negativity in yourself or your environment with a conscious effort.

Some people when depressed, think of sorting their problems via eating comfort food.

Knowing that you live near a famous Nihari house, each time you get the urge, look at this pic, and remind yourself, that this is what eating too much Nihari will do to you.

Why are you depressed, bhai? :(

When I am depressed, I try to think of good memories. Also, try to hang out with friends or family. Having a few good conversations will cheer you up and make you forget about your problems.

And, I agree with @Khafee. Go out with your friends or family to Javed Nihari. Federal B Area isn't so boring. I have family that lives there. :-)
 
I am also young and have been dealing with Anxiety / stress and also depression due to major stress in my life for the pass year and a half , I am much better but not 100% but fight it everyday some days are good and some days are bad. Been to many doctors and specialist its always something new and different stress plays tricks on your mind, body and soul but if not careful in controlling it can lead to major health issues. My advise is to get your self checked out 100 % to a level you are at peace inside within and then try not to think to much and fight your way out , trust me if you don't fight now you will be fighting it much harder later as I have been through it and still at the cross roads of this B_tch wish you all the best be strong and remember ALLAH is always with you.

You can overcome anything..

Here is a trick on how to trick your mind... work 101%. Whenever you feel depressed,have negative thougths, tell urself its not your fault nor your problem... tell ur mind "hey brain, go **** yourself.... distract yourself from those feelings... most importantly do things you love... you get the drift right?

You can also talk to your parents?


Whenever i feel low,pain or any such thing... i tell myself... that I can make it.


Ive been shot, ive lost 18kgs in a month, ive overcome stuff.. wanted to quit.. but at the last moment, i told myself... hey man, you are a Baloch, descedant of great people, "u da man" nothing can stop you... and at the last moment ive extended my goal and than another, till i reached my destination.


Trust me... you will overcome it. Coz "da man".



P.S: As for me, every married man is depressed... and im almost 3 years your senior, my advice stay away from dem womenz.

I think this is common now a days iam 22 and and facing exactly the same problem like you do. I was even thinking about opening a thread asking about some suggestion but you had it first ..Having the same problem I can understand your condition better ..

* Do you speak/talk less to other people/ friends/family members etc? Well too much silence increase depression .. So spend more time with friends , family etc

* Don't be at home all the time sitting in a room thinking about useless things can make life hell so hang out with friends , increase your sport time etc

* Social media ... excessive use of social media can cause depression so try not to scoll your news feed all the time and don't read about every little problem our country is facing ... Also don't use any fake Facebook account if u have any ...

* Probably you got a problem of obsession? Is it? You get obsessed with every little/silly thing u read/ face? I have that problem ...* Don't believe everything you read on internet*

* I hope you don't have any long term diseases ..specially something related to skin (I have that problem) it reduce our confidence and increase depression .

* Don't compare itself with others ,,, you are the best

* You probably have a kind, sensitive , emotional type of heart .. Isn't right? You are bound to be depressed now a days

* You have a problem in forgetting and moving on? I have that problem and it cause depression

* Be honest with what ur doing I,e if you are a student do ur work proper

* Raise your standard without comparing yourself with others

* DONT USE YOUr PHONE FOR ANYTJING ILLEGAL .

I hope you don't have most of these problems .. These are just suggestions. And problems that iam facing

Being Hopeless is a sin for a Muslim. God has given you a brain as he has given it to other and Allah never puts more pressure than the amount which one cannot handle so you just need to use the brain. If you are depressed due to specific thing please mention and I might be able to give a better advice.

Jokes aside stay close to people who you think are nice to you,try to focus on positive things in life,and learn to enjoy life

I was suicidal at one point in my life every day felt like a burden than i changed i started living life to the fullest when you start doing that life gets better

In Pakistan when someone has depression people say mard ban they dont look for solutions our society makes situation worse, not everyone is strong headed all the time we all hit problems at one point in life as visiting a professional for depression is not so common in Pakistan he only can use self-medication to get out of his depressed state
