Hello Farsi speakers

[Indus Pakistan]

Salaam to my Iranian friends,

I am doing a historical project on the Indus Basin of what is now Pakistan. In the past this area came under various Persian Empires and was a Satrapy. I would appreciate if any Farsi speakers could tell me what records are still available from the Achaemenid Empire about this Satrapy. Like what was the name [ Hindosh ? ] or any other info that would shed light.

Chitoori is all I can offer. Hopefully you can get the help you need. I would suggest local libraries/ meuseums that keep historical artifacts. It would help to know to know where you're located. I went to Milad tower in tehran they had a lot of historical maps and artifacts on display if you're in Iran you can probably get some help from a library. I'm not sure about Pakistan

Yes the name is hendush and no, there is nothing like ruined left in Pakistan and India that present achaemenid rule.only few places are remained from Acheamenid rule in ME(Apart from Iran, of course).those are located in Turkey,Lebanon,Syria,Iraq and Egypt.

The name of the mountain range are HinduKosh , essentially meaning HinduSlayer , lol , it might have something to do with the alexander not so great

You need to look for these 3 satrapies: Hindush, Sattagydia, and Gandhara.
