Our sources have exclusively extracted the information regarding the heli crash that took place today.
The crash took place close to the GT Road highway passing through Wazirabad town of Gujranwala division. The heli downed due to technical problems and crashed into the River Chenab, at high flow that time. The heli was on a training mission, and had two pilots, a trainee and an instructor.
We have found out the details regarding the instructor, who has been identified as Major Zahid Bari (Tamgha-e-Basalat). Maj Bari is already well known for his role in the ISPR drama series "Faseel-e Jan Sey Aagay (Season 2)" in which he portrayed himself in the episode "Parwaz-e-Junoon". Maj Bari was awarded the Tbt in honour of his heroic and courageous flying, after he airlifted an anti-aircraft gun amidst enemy territory in Operation Rah-e-Raast.
It is said that both pilots were swept away by the river when they tried to break free of the heli wreckage. Please recite Surah Fatiha for Major Bari and his trainee. In allillah wa innah ilaehay rajaoon.
