He surrendered how brave is that
To afghan government and USA
No, that's not a surrender rather a tactical manoeuvre.
he even escaped Taliban in disarray and hand his headquarter to them, by the way come on what surrender , his Hezb-e Islami was actually founded by CIA and MI6 after its usefulness was ended they told him to stay low so they can use him another time perhaps the most courageous thing he ever did was firing rocket into Kabul civilian area until they accepted to gave him a governmental position, and also don't forget his visit with Margarete Thatcher at dawning street
Others describe his position as the result of having
"almost no grassroots support and no military base inside Afghanistan", and thus being the much more "dependent on Pakistani President
Zia-ul-Haq's protection and financial largesse" than other mujahideen factions.

the funny part is I dare anybody to show me only one significant win for this brave commander in all course of the war ,
just typical for any CIA backed group. does he achieved anything but training bunch of ultra radical islamist groups around the world ? and don't forget his party not only get hundreds of millions aid from USA ,virtually any aid that come from KSA went to his group.
I almost forget another of his achievement ,yes the highwayman pillaged Medicine sans frontiers aid caravan into Afghanistan or killing their aid workers ho were helping villagers.
another of his title is the commander who fought more Mojahedin than Soviets .
Mate, this makes his analysis even more credible since no can claim that he is an anti-Iran or pro-KSA as you said he has been closer to Iran than KSA. That simply means that Iran started its interventionist policy after Afghan Talibans took over, who defeated many pro-Iran groups like Northern Alliance etc. And this is what changed his mind. That's the time when USA brought India into Afghanistan and both Iran and India have been cooperating on Chabahar and also on military front.
as I said he was living in Iran at sometime , but Iran limited his movement at those times we cut his telephone and sent back anybody who came to talk with him and refused to found insurgency through his group because he was not predictable , on other hand nearly all of KSA help come to his group
Lets be frank and honest, no sorry accurate. Gulbuddin was the head of a so called "Mujahideen" fighters aka precursor of the Taliban group. But the reality is that his group 1) Mostly played spoiler and was never a major bargainer at the table but was terroristic enough to influence Afghanistan due to lack of security and war conditions. Tbh, this attack on Iran seems suspicious to me. I havent heard him say this in all the years he was hiding while orchestrating mass murder attacks and attacks on civilians. Gulbuddin conceded recently because 1) He was offered something good and 2) His group's military relevance is diminished considerably. Imo he's like a micni Bin Laden.
in 2006 in an interview with aljazeera he spewed such nonsense and announced he is willing to unite with Al-qaeda sadly at those time there was no ISIS otherwise they were match made in heaven , they removed the article in 2007 but you can find that article in webarchive
