Point being the regardless of who was leading the government, the Indian government committed multiple times to implement the UNSC Resolutions. If the Indian government's commitments are subject to the whims of every new government, then what value is India's commitment on any international agreement? The debate in India over withdrawing or refusing to implement the IWT is another example of India's 'commitment' to international agreements being worth nothing.

Why? What will happen if India similarly reneges on Simla, or the IWT? Outside of the major economic powers imposing sanctions on India, there is little that can be done. But the point remains, India's 'word' & international commitments are worthless, especially when it comes to Pakistan. India cannot be trusted on any issue.

Nothing is set in stone. World over agreements are broken and renegotiated based on the prevailing situation of the day.
And Trump is being ridiculed and accused of damaging US reputation & interests with his unilateral abrogation of various international commitments the US is party to.
