If MQM is involved in violence what is holding LEA's back. I know it is difficult to curtail a (violent) party with popular support but the nation is more important than a party of thugs.

I met Farooq Sattar when I was younger, he's a decent guy. There are some really good guys in MQM who are surrounded by some militant types. LEA's should help the hard working pro Pakistani MQM workers/supporters in getting rid of fatsos terrorist wing.

I have several relatives in MQM, none of them will ever dare to say anything against Pakistan, but they feel that if MQM is broken up then no other party will give a toss about the people of Karachi. It's a difficult situation, it needs to be managed properly so the Altafists are not able to regain control of MQM Pakistan. So far they've done well with curtailing Altaf loyalists from reganing a toehold. Keep pushing and we may yet destroy the cancer of ethnic chauvinism within elements of MQM.
