Head of Lashkar-i-Jhangvi Balochistan killed

.
No brother, not the ones sponsored by Iran were not. Saudis sponsored an opposition to them. Then there was a proxy war on Pakistan soil between Iran and Saudia.

Don't give me links my friend I am from Jhang and I know very well who sponsored who and it all happened. What ever took place in Jhang was political power struggle rather than religious and how that unfolded. Don't blame Army for any thing here, Zia had some role due to Afghani mujaheddin fighting soviet but that was not to the extent how you all portray it.

Jhang receiving funds from Saudis and Iran is a joke. In that time the monetary back bone of Jhang was so strong that Jhang could fund Saudis and Iran if it wanted.

I would would never blame Pakistan Army, no matter what! anyhoo.. at-least read this little bit pasted below
Scholars also dispute the timing of LeJ's creation. One scholar says LeJ was formed in 1990 but remained a part of the SSP until 1995, when it formally split to protest an emerging dialogue between the SSP and militant Shia parties.[80] Another says LeJ was formed in 1994, immediately after its founder escaped from police custody.[81] Still others contend the group was first created a year or two later, in 1995 or 1996, in response to the SSP's participation in cross-sectarian reconciliation efforts.[82]

Not going to speak much on the issue as it is a sectarian chapter in the history of Jhang and that all is over after the city went through a lot of blood shed and assassinations currently jhang is one of the Pakistan's most peaceful cities in terms of terrorism. My end statement to you is all the terrorists that rooted in Jhang were not Jhang locals and were working for money this is the true story. LEJ was established by Haq Nawaz and he was killed like all other and it only happened when Jhang denounced these terrorist them selves and Shias and sunnis came together and decided to get rid of them together. There are still some faulty elements in Jhang they are powerful to effect the world but they don't have courage to move a stone in Jhang because the people got united against them and that is the very reason no Molana from any side has been able to win election from Jhang although they try every time.

Ok I Think Everyone Needs To Calm Down Here Is The Whole Story.

After The 1979 Revolution,Iran Started Financing Various Shia Groups To Incite "Islamic Revolutions" In Neighbouring Countries.During This Time The Supreme Council For Islamic Revolution In Iraq,Supreme Council For Islamic Revolution In Arabian Peninsula,Tehreek e Jafria Pakistan etc.

SCIRI Started Creating Unrest In Iraq Similarly There Was A Rebellion Al Hira Province Of Saudia. The Problem Was That A Massive Influx Of Weapons and Money Also Happened In Pakistan Among Small Groups Of Shias And They Became Gradually Emboldened And Started Doing Some Provocative Things Which Angered Sunni Majority.
This Triggered A Reaction And Thus The First Group ASSP Was Formed By Haq Nawaz Jhangvi Who Was Head Of JUI Punjab At The Time

Another Thing Was The Blatant Disregard For Diplomatic Norms By The Revolutionary Government Of That Time. For Example During The Protest Against Zia's Imposition Of Zakat, Iranian Ambassador Also Participated In The Protests Led By Shia Groups. This Was Undue Interference In Pakistan's Domestic Matters.

Another Thing Which My Uncle Told Me Who Served In FO.Once During A Meeting With The Iranian Ambassador At The Time,The Ambassador Was Asked Whether His Governments Wants To Incite A Revolution In Pakistan. He Said No Iran Considers Pakistan A Friend And Brother. But Then He Said Something Which Rattled Everyone In The Room.He Said That If The Walayat e Faqih Wants 70000 Armed Shias Can Take Over All Big Cities In Pakistan Within 24 Hours At His Call.

The National Security Establishment Of The Country Was Alarmed At This But Was In A Catch 22 Situation If They Try To Neutralize Tehreek e Jafria Which Became Hugely Popular With The Shias Then It Could Become An Iraq Like Situation With The Impression That The State Is Oppressing A Minority. It Would Also Have Deeply Polarized Pakistani Society With Horrible Consequences.

Therefore Instead Of Confronting TeJ Directly We Decided To Give Tacit Support To ASSP.And This Support Was Mostly Not In The Form Of Money Or Weapons But In The Form Of Free Hand and "Looking The Other Way".

Unfortunately This Turned The Group And It's Ofshoot LeJ Into A Frankenstein That Would Start Devouring Us.

So ASSP and LeJ Was Not Created By The Establishment. It Was The Result Of A Natural Reaction. But Later On The Establishment Had To Support It To Counter TeJ Which Was An Iranian Proxy

Man just leave this topic and move on, in simple terms Army was never involved in LEJ and no one in army looked away from LEJ and gave them free hand Jhang went through curfews so how can you say that army look away from LEJ. Yes the very roots of terrorism started from Jhang and yes there were funds coming in from both Saudis and Iran but Jhang is more to blame than any one else. Jhang is the biggest district of Pakistan with Fasilabad as one of it Tehsils at time and it was a industrial and agricultural power house funding all types of terrorists but that phase is long gone. LEJ was never successful in Jhang because both sides were countering each other. LEJ past development from Jhang was more fueled by local funds rather than foreign funds from Iran or Saudis. It was political power struggle and LEJ or the Shia organisations were just tools.

That Was The Entire Plan To Prevent TeJ And Pro Iranian Groups From Becoming Too Powerful To Challenge The State.

I May Not Know Much About Jhang But I Know Quite A Lot About Quetta And Let Me Tell You Things Got Quite Bitter There

Look you cannot move to the bigger picture unlit you understand the root cause.

now try to follow me. The LEJ mullahs and the Shia Mullah in Jhang got good funds in jhang back then and they got settled in Jhang with their families now the situation is that if this house belongs to a LEJ or Sipah Mullah the Next house would belong to a Shia Mullah so now if they fight in Jhang they would put their famalies in harms way so those Mullah don't fight in their houses but now what they do is make their followers in other cities to fight and they just chant with their tongs against each other in Jhang and if you take this concept on the bigger picture you will see the same. Iran and Saudis just give statements but don't fight instead they fight in other countries like Yemen and Syria this is some thing Irani and Saudis learned from Jhang. The people of Jhang got hold of this Mullah strategy that they dont fight them selves and make us fight now world needs to relize this.

Dude...these terrorist groups popping up in the country and the state not doing anything against the has a message to say...no country wants bad PR in association with terrorism..and LeJ was banned in 2001...Parviz Musharff has already admitted that some rougue elements inside the army have been aiding terrorist groups..there were tens of high cadre jaamati terrorist sympathizing officers in Pak Army...
SSP and LeJa are two different beasts now. Yes for a very long time they were synonymous and yes SSP was tolerated if not supported by military establishment for providing willing recruits for Kashmir and Afghanistan, JEM had many of its recruits from SSP.

We were in for a shock though during the GHQ attack, when Ludhianavi was brought from Adyala to parlay with the terrorists, mostly former LEJ members, who had taken 5 officers and many civilians hostage. But he was not only rebuked by them but in fact was called a traitor to the cause and told that he was on their death list as well.

Now they have sworn loyalty to ISIS, so no sir they are not GHQ assets. But your point is well taken, we stick to our 80's policy for too long and it has cost us dearly. Of course none of our leaders could foresee the future otherwise a politician like Nawaz sharif would not have asked for monetary support from Bin Laden to topple his rival nor a liberal like Benazir would have propped up the Taliban regime in Afghanistan. We are often lead by short-sighted fools.

Colonel Sohail was Director of Military Intelligence Quetta Region. It makes sense why a colonel rank person took part in raid.
Fog of war,took another life.

Two words Shafiq Mengal. He is the guy who is providing llogistics, training, recruitment and supply chains support to ISIS and LEJ in Balochistan. If you don't know about his history, Do a search on google. A strategic asset turned rouge
One guy can't be said to be running the whole show.LeJ was active before he went rouge. He now may be a part of it.
All these Groups have one thing in common from Chitral to Chaman, they operate close to Durand Line, whenever there is heat majority of there cadre shifts to Afghanistan.Until there bases in Afghanistan aren't hit. There is no way of there destruction.
