HD Channels in Pakistan

Hi Guys

I recently purchased 40 inch Full HD LED TV but i guess no use of it because picture quality of cable in Pakistan is very poor. Is there any alternate beside cable channels? Are picture quality of dish channels any better? Any good dish Satellite TV Packages or service in Pakistan? Can you watch HD channels in Pakistan to utilize the advantage of high definition screen ?

Smart TV is NOT HD ... you can contact to anyone in saddar market and they will tell you different packages, i think its yearly subscription based ... i can ask a friend who got it for you

yea i was looking at it and it seem good and cheap but i guess you need to buy a good broadband package from PTCL because it depend on broadband speed and also i assume they don't offer any HD channels. price is not bad and also Parental Control and rewinding function is great

you put a satellite dish , you buy a HD box and you watch HD channels . ( if there is HD channels if not you can watch normal quality)

Well it is hard to find HD channels or Packages in Pakistan but what the hell 449/- per month is much better than cable with crappy channels but I am disappointed PTCL did not add Discovery channel.

Have you researched on dreambox and dish? I don't know much about it though but I read Pakistani channels not included.

) Got that damn cheap jadoo box here in Canada because everyone in home watches Pakistani News and HUM TV dramas. I deleted all indian channels from it, I can use this box to watch youtube but i do miss Nat Geo-Discovery.

I dont think buying HD box give you free HD channels without monthly or yearly subscription

I am using sky digital box in United kingdom and paying 30 pounds for one month plus paid installation fees. HD box was free..never used anything in Pakistan other than cable tv thatswhy have no clue

yea cable tv is really crap and there is no use of HD tv if you are watching cable tv on it then better stick to standard tv because it don't make any difference..even make it worse because of bigger screen
