ibn e safi was the best, mazhar kaleem's novels have turned out to be really boring and repetitive. no originality at all(well that is to be expected if one is stealing others characters).
Mazhar kaleem is not the only one who has stolen Ibne Saffi's characters but there are perhaps dozen other writers too. I think fresh young writers of imran series are missing these days, Mazhar kaleem has got old and has lost that exuberance of youthfulness of imran series characters, his portrayal of Imran is no more that of a funny character that was used to be the signature of his novels in 80s and 90s. Young fresh capable writers are need of the hour.
I consider imran series as cultural heritage of pakistan's jasoosi literature, in my view Ibne Saffi should be awarded by government of pakistan for giving such successful piece of jasoosi fiction series that is running since more than 50 years and our imran is still young and ready under the orders of X2-Black zero (sometimes acting himself X2) to take on the enemies of Pakasia especially coming from Rajasia or Akremia
