One day a lady visited Holy Prophet (PBUH), along with her son. She wanted Holy Prophet (PBUH) to advice her son to consume less sweets. Holy Prophet (PBUH) asked her to come after a certain time period. The lady visited him again and Holy Prophet (PBUH) adviced the young boy to consume less sweets. The lady asked surprisingly that this advice could have been given the first time. Holy Prophet (PBUH) answered that he himself was very fond of sweets and before advising her son he wanted to do abstinence. This was to ensure that the advice is effective and not contrary to his practices.
This incident should give a clear answer to us as to:
1. Why pleas of austerity by government, media and religious scholars does not bear fruit?
2. Why efforts of media, government and religious scholars are not bringing change in human behavior in coherence, tolerance, acceptance, forbearance, patience and coexistence?
3. Why crime is increasing despite efforts by law enforcing agencies to reduce it, media in highlighting it and scholars condemning it?
4. Why obscenity is becoming part of our culture although being condemned by our constitution, culture and religion?
5. Why common man is deprived of justice despite independence of judiciary?

Only one answer the Hypocritical Behaviour

Honest leadership and a good government system is all needed for the things to change.

Not possible for decades and decades to come. Only after all the current politicians and their relatives some how quit politics or die, will it be possible.

The only way for things to change is for the people to change themselves rather than waiting for the non existent Govt, Molvi's, Army, USA, China, Martians, Aliens, etc. to come and do it for them.

I mean the vast majority of people in Pakistan are Muslim what stops them from following the Quran and Sunnah?

What stops the vast majority of people in Pakistan from following its constitution and laws?

Stop blaming the whole world and stop waiting for the perfect messiah. No leader or messiah can change anything if the people dont want to follow the right way.

There are many problems like honesty, morality, poverty, corruption, unity but a big problem among these is: Everyone thinks he is right, and others are wrong.

Very right.
