What's new

Haters gonna hate but the future belongs to us! :D

Not a clue, but from the looks of it (and by that, I mean the users from bd on this forum), I'd say it doesn't spend very much at all on primary education. Do tell us, though.

Hardly comparable with India... And still they boast about that...

Let us disagree on the money wasting part.

Pooh poohing ISRO accomplishments on their relative shoestring budget compared to US, cold war USSR and E.U is not the way to go to proving that Bangladesh has success stories of its own relative to India.

I don't pooh pooh ISRO's accomplishments. They have done a lot.

However user GSLV passes comments that we are 200 years behind etc. which is ridiculous. I have a beef with that.

If we had spent proportionally the same amount of money on space-sensing and missiles I'm sure we could have had achievements in that area. However our priorities lie elsewhere.

Let's be honest - I can appreciate Indian accomplishments, but that does not have to mean you belittle what Bangladesh has done. The latter is exactly what is happening here.

Not knowing about another country's accomplishments and passing cavalier comments belittling them will invite harsh comments and base behavior....and our piece-of-work trolls here thrive in that environment.

well.....nigga,it's indians who swallow and gulp poops everyday because of failing to distinguish between poops and curries, eeeeeewwwww,PS:I won't click indian links, that would stink my fingers
You are known for eating weird things worldwide. A recent study showed that the oil you have been using day in day out to cook food, massage your body, massage your hair, massage your babies, are actually made up of poop. You are so efficient that you even don't want to waste poop.

What's the point of all this development when you have to eat poop?

... says a bangaldeshi.

Yeah... By the way, what are the upcoming science fiction films from Bollywood? I would like to see something like "Rise of the planet of the Indians" would be a treat to watch!

No one anywhere in the world is "subhuman"....we are all human;s. No need for this kind of language.

Yet our human resources indicators (such as child nutrition, hunger indices, girls education, rate of child immunization) - are almost all ahead of this 'SUPA-POWA'.

Child nutrition - India has lower rate of malnutrition among children at 30% in 2014 compared to Bangladesh 37%.

India child malnutrition is dropping at 1.6% every year. Bangladesh is dropping at 0.06% every year.

Overall hunger indices - about the same, Indian marginally better according to FAO, WHI, WB and others

Girls education

intake ratios are about the same for both countries (well above 100% in gross)

Female youth literacy rates about the same (about 90%)

Female Primary completion rate is much higher in India (97% in 2011 compared to 80% in Bangladesh)

92% of Indian girls cohort progress to Secondary School, Bangladesh figure unavailable.

Immunization

Bangladesh is marginally ahead in some, India way ahead on others.

WHO World Health Organization: Immunization, Vaccines And Biologicals.
Vaccine preventable diseases
Vaccines monitoring system
2015 Global Summary Reference Time Series: BCG

On this line of thinking - India can get all the Nuclear subs it wants but I think none of their launchers/guns will work due to lack of maintenance and indiscipline.

Yup we liberated Bangladesh in 1971 by our thought process alone.

I saw a US Navy personnel describe Indian sailors wearing flip flops for firing deck guns on one of their Talwar class destroyers. This is how bad it is.

An online rumour (that was proven to be a hoax) is always a fun laugh.

Does the US even know Bangladesh has a navy?

got raped the brain out of you too many times, filthy indian nigga?you are retarded enaf to require a coherence to understand a line of "praise

Yeah come back when you've passed level 1 english. Or just type in chinese, I can use google translate to have a better attempt at what you're barking about.

Why yes it does.

We do twice yearly exercises with them regarding littoral and riverine warfare protocol. I'm sure the Navy guys will know...

Nah,its 60 years.Happy ?

The moral of the story is 'do not mock Indian space program by claiming Indian space launchers are copies of 1950's atlas class'.Got it ?

ot some rocket copied from the 50's era Atlas program, nor some ugly office towers next to a slum or useless showcase projects like a Mars Mission that gets votes but won't feed anybody.

I don't pooh pooh ISRO's accomplishments. They have done a lot.

You definitely had a bit of an underhanded implication posting those pictures of the bullock carts and what not + the jibe at the rockets being 50's era american tech or whatever.

There might have been some truth if you said 70s - 80s era French since the Vikas engine on the PSLV is pretty much a reverse engineered French Viking....but even that has been refined and perfected and the science and engineering has come to the level now that fully Indian conceptions and designs (in even cryogenic stages) are the mainstay for the GSLV program.

But I will give you the benefit of the doubt since we all sometimes meander and get into heated exchanges and lose control (I was banned for that very reason).

I am totally against belittling Bangladesh. But now this thread has basically become this exercise in chest thumping and belittling...so I guess I will sport in it within reason. I know you wont take it personally.

If we go to the beginning, it started pretty much when one indian member questioned the integrity of the source...and a Bangladeshi member immediately made a burnol jibe without actually trying to engage in whether the blog/article was indeed what the Indian member pointed it out to be. Then resulting refusal to lose face means this thread has inevitably deteriorated into this. But judging from the thread title, that seems to be the intention of the OP anyway.

I see where you are coming from w.r.t being behind in space. There are many priorities each country must choose from after all. I think Bangladesh has made good and bad decisions and same with India. Let us see what the future holds.

ISRO send a team to participate in the Viking engine development, who came back to develop the Vikas -The team was headed by Dr.Nambi Narayan .We received ToT from France ( mainly metallurgy )
