Hasina clamps down on Islamist protest for Rohingyas

Police in the Bangladeshi capital Dhaka today stopped thousands of Islamists from marching to the border with Myanmar to protest at a crackdown on the Rohingya Muslim minority in that country. The military campaign in Myanmar’s western state of Rakhine has sent 27,000 Rohingya fleeing into Bangladesh, with survivors recounting horrific stories of mass murder, gang rape and torture at the hands of troops.

Buddhist-majority Myanmar has long discriminated against the stateless Rohingya and the recent crisis has galvanised protests in Muslim countries around the region

"Islamists"? What does that mean? That they follow Islam - do they mean 'Muslims'?

Intentional use of misleading terminology to discredit the protesters and make it sound like they are terrorists or something.

Sure, they might be from Islamic religious groups, but they are protesting in favour of basic human rights for the Rohingya people, that doesn't have anything to do with 'Islamism'.

Its normal occurance to block the protesters after certain limit so that they dont do any harm to themselves or others. But Indian fukcturd loafer trying to prove Hasina is harsh on Islamists or any clash with them. Infact among these Hefajot groups Ahle Sunnat Jamaat and Islami Andolon is more close to AL. Instead of making a moronic comment you should have address these issues made by this cheap Indian as he is saying BD is disowning its citizens, where Rohingyas arent BD citizens.
