Haseena Wajid Launches Purge of Political Opponents, 19 Including Former PM's Son to be Hanged.

However still if a govt really order something illegal ( not such direct messy thing like killing opposition leaders but some other illegal order ) , what you want military to do since all of our govt wanted to use our military as a political tool?( Most of time they failed though). But what if the general disobey the order? who knew that govt will not harm him in another way? Everything is possible in this land. But that's not relevant here.
@SuvarnaTeja
In war you have to take sides. Doing something illegal as well as evil just because govt ordered so is not correct. If he had conviction that Awami league people are evil and have to be eliminated, then he should have gone forward and done it. And even now, he should have taken political activism and started to campaign that Awami League is evil and made people rebel against Awami League. What he did was act without thinking. That was the crime he did

That was not war time.
he should have taken political activism and started to campaign that Awami League is evil and made people rebel against Awami League.
That was BNP regime and he was still in job , not Retired so no way to involve in politics. And also when someone is in military , he can't act as a single person, but military always worked as unit .
So either the military should have been over throw former govt, or a single officer must obey any order .

What he did was act without thinking. That was the crime he did
Not at all. If that time he disobeyed the order he would face court martial because of disobeying.
And if he made the plan by himself without the direct order of prime minister, he would face the court martial. And since he didn't face the court martial so it's clear that he didn't do anything by himself ( this point is only valid if we accept that the verdict was without political pressure, otherwise all process is cancelled automatically) .

Attorney General Mahbubey Alam. File photo
Dhaka, Oct 11 (UNB) - Attorney General (AG) Mahbubey Alam on Thursday said bringing fugitive BNP acting chairman Tarique Rahman back will not be a hard job as he has been sentenced to life term jail in August 21 grenade attack cases.

The AG came up with the remarks while talking to reporters at his office a day after a speedy trial tribunal sentenced 19 people to death and 19 others, including Tarique Rahman to life imprisonment, in two cases filed over the August 21 grenade attack on an Awami League rally in the capital in 2004.

“In case of death sentence, political asylum is given in many countries but international law doesn’t allow asylum to criminals. Tarique got life term jail in August 21 grenade attack cases. So, it won’t be difficult to bring him back to the country,” he said.

“We’ll also review the verdict. The state will file a petition for giving Tarique tougher punishment if it seems after review that Tarique should have been get death penalty,” he said.

“A Pakistani citizen is also convicted in the cases. We’re suspecting that Pakistan is still trying to turn Bangladesh into a country without leader. There remains much doubt about that Pakistani man. There might have been instigation from Pakistan to make the country unstable”, he added.

“Pakistan’s former President and Prime Minister Zulfikar Ali Bhutto awarded death penalty though he didn’t kill anyone by himself but planned killing. So, I think Tarique also should have been awarded death sentence like others,” the AG said.

BD doesn’t interference from Pakistan. It’s of no consequence to us. We don’t need to waste money instigating violence there

Fear of court martial should not be above fear of doing something wrong. Personal desires must be below that of general well being.

.
BNP only talking about Tareque being innocen. Why don't they defend others?

When things get tough, it's save your own first. Some became expendable a long time ago.

Are are pushing words for the sake of argument? Your remark is far from reality. In order to save himself and his family , peoples are sometimes compelled to do many dirty works.
This is the reality . So victims are not to be blamed. ( in any case) .

And, yet no water from the shared rivers for BD...

BD folks are termites....

Without RAW's approval, not a single policy can be made...

4m Muslims are waiting in Asam to be pushed to BD like the Rohigyas...

10b$ is officially remitted to India from BD per year by the Indians working in BD....

Forget about the professionals, even the Mafia bosses in BD are from India....

All BD transportation routes, consumer products, financial markets, media, entertainment etc. are wide open for the Indians to exploit them as they wish....

BAF operates only 8 proper front-line a/c, and that too dependent on the Indian parts.....

BD military officers have to show 100% allegiance to RAW while living (along with their families) one step away from a Gujrat-style pogrom to be executed by the very soldiers they command and inside their own bases.....

Public education in BD is being destroyed to such an extent that a med school grad can't even study an X-ray report....

Now, hang as many folks as you want....

Some Bd folks consider these are achievements. If Bd wants to become India’s slave nation then who can stop them. Another Sikkim in making.

Those f*ckers only care about Tarique Zia. How about then Home minister Babar, Harris and others?

Are you disappointed that Tarique didn’t get death sentence? No worry Monkey court will fulfill your wish in next verdict.

Fanboy of Khamba Baba spotted. Tarique Zia is one of the major reason behind BNP's dismal state. Long it's gonna continue.

That is what a sane, common Pakistani would think. ISI is neither sane nor common. It is run by war mongerers who live cosy lives and therefore do not suffer the consequences of the economic and security hurdles their bloodlust bring to Pakistan.
ISI needs to be re-assigned and made 100% answerable to elected representitives.
