You are correct that most religion has become cultural and has lost its spiritual-faith essence.
However the term Atheist Muslim is a contradiction. You are an Atheist of Muslim ancestry, perhaps that is a better descriptor?
Well yes we could argue that -- though I think the we're splitting hair here.
I could for example retort that people think they believe in G-d. However, is there a test for actually believing in G-d? Again -- to be clear this is by no means a new debate -- this question or similar question on the nature of things [when is something something] have been studied at depth by philosophers (including Muslim -- including famous ones like Ghazali). But I am not a student of philosophy.
So am I a Muslim -- I think so. Does anyone really believe in G-d: it is certainly possible
