Has the US lost the war in Afghanistan?

The war is lost. The Taliban are returning to power

That really shows that mentallity of this particular blogger, but wait he also explains the reasonning behind lossing it also:

One shudders to think what the Great Elector, Frederick the Great, Bismarck, Clausewitz and Hindenburg – not to mention the Führer – would have thought of this display of wimpishness by the Waffen Hairnets. If that is their morale level, Angela Merkel’s contemplation of sending reinforcements sounds more like a threat than a promise.

So, what he really wishes is that we should haved over powered in this situation, but we are not doing so, in tern we have lost because "reinforcements sounds more like a threat"...

I am greatly surprised when a men criticizes, yet speaks in double edge sword. Either he wants a true solution to the problem or just wishes the problems are solved based on dedication.

This blogger clearly speaks in double role, he wants the old days of the Führer controlling the situation to solve the problem at hand, but clearly displays the frustration of not having one. Wait, even the dam Führer had some form of dedication, wasn't it!!!!

There is a doubt people need to clear in their minds. This war was not like another war. War in Afghanistan is different from war in Iraq. The war in Iraq was a war against the govt. It was easy to judge if the war was won or not. The govt is gone. So the war was won.
But in Afghanistan, the war is not against the govt. It is against the militants. How can somebody judge if the war is won or not. And that too, when the war is still going on.
Today, a huge part of Taliban is in the grave. So many terrorists die everyday in drone attacks. Although a lot still remain. But sooner or later, Afghanistan will be clear of terrorists and a fresh govt will begin the development of a new country. That day, the war will be won.
But what happens when the US leaves is a different story. And mind you, things will never get as bad as they were a couple of years back. Afghanistan's future looks pretty good to me.
The problem now lies in Pakistan, as the terrorists have shifted to Pakistan to saves themselves. The effects of the war on terror can be clearly seen in Pakistan today. Attacks take place daily.

The only sensible thing Pakistan can do now, is to launch an offensive against the Taliban and not give them the chance to recover from the war and regain their power cause sooner or later the US will have its eye on Pakistan as a terror feeding state. And that day, would be a bad day for Pakistan. Pakistan has been receiving a lot of aid from the US and it would be very tough to reject US's ambition to clear Pak of terrorism.

I personally don't want to see that day. And I am sure nobody in Pak would want it too.

When USA leaves afghan, US/NATO make sure that there are no talibs.

If Afghanistan peoples support Taliban, Taliban will return after USA / NATO withdraw!

If Taliban returns then damage the stability of Central Asia (ie. support terrorism and damage sovereignty of neighbouring states), Russia, Iran, India and possibly China will join to extinguish Taliban. Taliban will have not way to survive if she angers Russia, Iran, India and China.

Nothing. Some people just wanna twist and twist things out of perspective. To them, World Trade Center was a US conspiracy, Mumbai attack was an Indian Conspiracy, US is after all the muslim countries, Pak represents the muslims of the world, RAW is 24/7 trying to destabalize Pak, Israel is the mastermind of the world and blah blah, what not.

Well i said that we were fighting afghan talibs.Usa and NATO was.So if they lose that doesnt effect us.The afghan talibs have already denounced TTP scums and called them a..holes who fight and kill muslims.So if talibs win it would be a blow to usa,nato and other boys not for us.
