Has Any Pakistani Leader Ever Received Warm Washington Welcome Like Modi?

I think direct comparison should not be drawn in such a way, the motive and interest has not shifted drastically for America but leadership has for sure. 1961 and 2016 visits holds totally different importance geo strategically and politically. Mr Modi, could have got more then what Mr Khan's visit. However, this could have detoriated already suffering US - Pak relationship which US cannot afford as they still have presence in Pakistan to counter China presence with long standing friend. Even if the interest has shifted towards India but still Pakistan is too a vital strategic partner to contain threats posed by Taliban, Haqaanis and China's growing influence in the Central Asia.

USA is know for offering to more then one deserves if that means vital for US interest, Pakistan has witnessed it in terms of Military assistance, aid and monetary assistance. Who knows is it better Pakistan. Crucial point is they way US will open up it's market for India to invest and support India in her geo political interest, which can be seen by immense support to long waited Indo - Iran and Afghanistan deal to use Chahabhar also, one should not forget the Senate block on the deal to sell F-16 in the house by Americans and Mr Obama humbly accepting the unanimous decision.

what's really interesting is that the Sauds, who are responsible for all the terror worldwide, run an immaculate operation at home, no chaos, no jihad, much money making and peace in Arabia, Pak otoh.. death and terror, a love affair with violent jihad.. crazy

That is a valid point..

yes, they've prospered massively and are a stable democracy today, which was not always the case post war but they are in a great place today, Koreans aren't blowing themselves all over the world either.

Japan too, are an economic behemoth as well as being one of the most peaceful countries on earth.

I actually see Pakistan as the first, and perhaps the biggest victim of the Saudi ultra-orthodoxy aka wahhabism virus post the Iranian revolution.

So now they have a huuge section of their population infected with this insane ultra orthodoxy, tens of thousands have died from religious violence over the past decade, and their military establishment still continues to nurture and foster these psychotic militants to further their geostrategik interests in the region, shall we say.

the US intel guys are not stupid, they know exactly what's going on, shouldn't surprise anyone who knows anything to see this rapprochement between India and the US.

Why have you bomb urself when u r a rich sheikh? They have all the money to make us blast ourselves :D

Useless discussion, what Pakistan earned by receiving warm welcomes? Only a status of instrument and after utilisation, ignored. Yes our politicians and generals have properties abroad , off shore companies, industries and swollen accounts; Nation as a whole suffered and our economy slides and still sliding downward.
What India will get, do they think they will be dealt equally by USA? Better the answer should be by Indian friends. They could be better judge for their motherland.

The video and reception of Ayub Khan simply strengthen the point that America certainly wanted to cultivate Pakistan. They were given friendship, money and a stage, Yet the Pakistanis chose to double deal and stab us in the back. And then now that the USA has woken up to this double cross, Pakistanis cry that America is not treating them as they should.

.
Why you Indian be happy on welcome it's USA who has its benefit it seas you and want you to fight and die for their cause they put you in front of China as a goat so they can't face dragon directly.

Furthermore do u know a example before sending balli ka Bakra they give Bakra good food and good decoration now usa doing it with you so you face dragon for balli

Bakri ki ma kab tak kher manaegi aim Na aik din dragon ka samne uski bhi bari ayegi

@RiazHaq still waiting on that link to the place where the Indian blog reader asked you this question. For someone who is ever so eager to hyperlink his blog, you seem to be avoiding this question.

Oh man a country full of debt from IMF, soft loans from China and a negative growth in Agricultre, you sure have lot of expectations.

On a note, I am happy we are fighting on economy rather than usual craps about war and nukes
the country you are comparing had not a single paper factory

No. we know that we wont be dealt equally by USA.. the difference is while your politicians and generals kept their personal interests above the country's, the same is not the case with Indian politicians, be it Manmohan singh or AB Vajpayee or the present Modi(best of all)... whatever be their corruption record within India and some defense deals, the paramount objective was always India's interests and not personal..

Chabahar port was visualized by ABV and taken forward by Manmohan singh...
Nuclear deal was manasputra of Manmohan Singh and Modi does everything to take it forward...

whoever comes after modi will also keep the country's interests above his own and will make india a strong diplomatic power...

It's the leaders that made the difference between pakistan and India.
