Our police is deeply involved in blackmailing , & bribes . They don’t care what other says. One of the reason crime rate is at peak. There is not a single honest Punjab police officer. Honest police don’t get promotion unless he pays bribes.

They don't get it in most cases even if they do bribe the csp's due to the seniority based promotion structure. Max they could reach is the dsp position. So majority don't mind getting promoted. It's all about who could stash more bucks in their accounts by holding on to whatever seat they have .

Those who do make it to the sp somehow are either by chance or by doing fake encounters at the whims of the csp's belonging to the "honorable Civil service" or politicians.

Yes , because it is patwari police culture and it is well known fact that patwaris eat donkeys . There are many programs, evidences with videos how donkeys meat vanished in our country and reached to Lahore. Maybe one of the reason Haroon said this policeman as donkey, because instead of listening he was making counter approach as if there are no sources in news channels, only police do have sources.
Punjab police don’t have ability to listen with open mind, they are well known for attacks .

You are actually making zero sense .yes its job of police to investigate and journalists have no power to dictate a police officer what to do based on his own sources. If police officer would release this guy based on phone call of this budda haroon ur Rasheed then this would be corruption. Follow legal procedure if you think someone arrested by police is innocent instead of making their sifarash over the phone and abusing police because he dont get impress with your media status. People who join police force don't appear from sky and they are same Pakistani people who are also working in others institutions and that's why no institution in Pakistan is free from corruption be it NAB, FIA etc
