Gives you interesting glimpses into the old time periods were people just came and planted their flag and it became their own land as if no one else owned it before.

I do always wonder why this issue is not brought up in UN to bring forth the question of ownership of the land by the native people of region (who are now may be 0.05% range or less) while folks like Donald claimed Immigrants are part of the problems

I suppose I have to study more about this Thanks giving phenominon from Native Indian tribe prespective

These days the event is more less treated as a family gathering but still just can't help but remember the folks who actually owned that land before

Presently the native groups are engaged in discussion to not allow a pollution riddled pipeline over their land (reserve)

Obviously in modern times one side says the thanks giving day is nothing more then family get together to celebrate the first harvest etc (where natives were also invited note the ones who were kind to immigrants)

Obviously after next 100-300 years obviously the natives (even the allies) were shoved over the cliff by the leaders of Immigrants (who obviously claimed now they own the lands)

Controversial History with out doubt ....

Hopefully the origional residents of the land would get some peace after 100-300 year of neglect and abuse and Immigrants should really call themselves Immigrants because they are not the true owners of the land

Chinese celebrate many foreign holidays they have no idea about, just because they want to have some fun, and business can make more sales out of young people. That is all. It will flat out over the time.

Probably..:but I think they may see it more than just a day for a family dinner. My wife said she got a barrage of "Happy Thanksgiving" messages on WeChat...which caught her off guard (since in previous years it was never mentioned). What shocked her far more was all the overemphasized religious "Oh God Bless you...God this...God that..." stuff that appeared in almost all of them too. It seems this day has struck a heavy chord with religious people. She had mentioned the religious stuff before and she feels it is accelerating (and disturbing). She, like me, is not religious at all.
