Happy Raam Navmi to all

Well someone asked about why God came to this earth in different incarnations. ( Vishnu came in 9 incarnations and will come once more). I dont know if that doubt is clarified or not, but let me try to do that.

We all know Sreema Bhagwad Gita is the holliest scripture for Hindus, just like Quran and Bible for Muslims and Christians resp. Gita is the words that Sri Krishna told to Arjun just before the war of Mahabharat to begin. Just before the war Arjun was skeptical to kill his relatives to gain th kingdom and thats the time Krishna gave him the bigger picture, which is known as Gita.

There is a mention of reincarnation in there as mentioned below, ( Its in Sanskrit and I will try my best to translate the same)

yada yada hi dharmasya
glanir bhavati bharata
abhyutthanam adharmasya
tadatmanam srjamy aham

paritranaya sadhunam
vinasaya ca duskrtam
dharma-samsthapanarthaya
sambhavami yuge yuge

I will translate line by line into Hindi ( as its easier to translate line by line in Hindi than to English) People who need the translation in English, please let me know, it will be an honor to me to do the same.

( Please forgive me o'almighty if I translate wrongly due to my poor and lack of knowledge)

yada yada hi dharmasya - Jab jab dharm ka
glanir bhavati bharata - Bharat mein binash hoga ( here Bharat means the world, not just India.
abhyutthanam adharmasya - Paap ki bhadhat hoga
tadatmanam srjamy aham - tab tab mera janm hoga

paritranaya sadhunam - sadhuon ko bachane
vinasaya ca duskrtam - papiyon ka vinash karne
dharma-samsthapanarthaya - Dharm ko phir se reestablish karne
sambhavami yuge yuge - har yug mein janam lunga.

The gist is whenever the sin will overshadow the religion, whenever the saints ( followers of god) will suffer in the hands of the sinners, then each time he will be reincarnated, times and again millennium after millennium .

I hope I made my best effort for this, please raise your doubts, I will again try to clarifying them... Thanks again

Im glad that you shared your views, no offence taken at all, so no worries.

So if we go from your perspective, i.e. logically speaking: there is a designer of everything in this world. A car doesn't come into being just by itself. A power plant doesn't get built by itself, right? How do these things around us come into being?

Try the approach the scientists are having.
After big bang, everything can be explained scientifically, no need for a creator.
People then brought the "GOD" in existence, it helped solve many puzzles, and bring morality.

How would the people from ancient times define the world.

There is rain, someone sitting above must be causing it. There is lightening, fire, wind etc, all must be act of God. So on and so forth.

With time, the theory must have evolved, must have got more complicated. Different moral clauses got added. It became what today the law is. It prevented people from doing "sins", by the fear of punishment, like what today law do. That time, the fear of god must have worked same as today the fear of govt do, even more.

Well, I have my beliefs in all the points in you mentioned, but let me take this point now. I dont know about others but where in hindu scriptures, it is mentioned that you need to pray to get good things? NO where.

For Hindus Sreemat Bhagwad Gita is the holiest scripture right? What it says? Do your karma and forget about everything else. NO where it is mentioned to pray to god. In fact there are thousands of stories negating your point of view. If people want I will start narrating them. I for one never go to temples, but just thank HIM for anything good happens to me and thats just instantaneous, just close the eyes and say THANKS. and thats my prayer.

truly said....
hindu scriptures do not restrict any person(hindu) to not to belive in other faiths or religions...... Ghagvad Gita tells us that all the faiths are just distinct paths to reach ultimate GOD. every person is free to choose any path of his choice.

In hinduism there is no such restriction that a hindu can not go to Grurudwara...or any other religious buildings related to other religions:)

I know, that's the sort of answer I would give too (according to my beliefs) but sometimes I just wonder, we all believe in fate, right? Taqdeer, naseeb, muqadar? i.e. everything is pre-written, why would God write something bad? To Him, our lives are like a movie on desktop. Things change to us but He's the writer of our movies, hence; the writer of villains and their intentions as well. I just want to know how a Hindu would think on this matter.

The way I look at it, its not a sequential storyline that He writes for each of us. He simply creates us and leaves us in the world with rest of his creations (after giving them different set of beliefs etc) to interact. Rest is like what happens in a MMRPG. We are what we do.. Basically the concept of Karma which defines us. Naseeb/Luck is all external variables factored into the game, but they by themselves cant define you or what you become..

even if we take a look at it from scientific approach, something doesn't happen just like that - there's always some force or energy behind everything we deal with in this world. Even when talking about the Big Bang, how did that hot and dense condition occur? What force was driving it? :undecided: I don't see any logic here that something happened just all of a sudden even if talking from science's point of view.
