Turban is a part our culture both India and Pakistan.

Its a symbol of our proud heritage, valour, dignity, self respect, honour, duty, responsibility and a promise of Gentlemen-ship.

It came under attack when racist parasites from UK illegally captured our lands. They attacked our turbans by mocking them as useless, weird looking piece of cloth. They put turbans to waiting staff, darbans (door keepers) and to their servant to make it as a symbol of oppressed serving class who only serve their superior race masters.

There was a movement started in Lallyapur, Punjab, Pakistan by S. Ajit Singh the uncle of S. Bhagat Singh called as "Pagri sambhal Jatta''. 'Mind your turban oh son of the land' against darconion anti peasent law of empire. The movement took off when In a mammoth rally at Lyallpur on 3 rd March 1907, Sh. Banke Dayal, the editor of the newspaper, Jhang Syal, introduced his song, “Pagdi sambhal Jatta, Pagdi Sambhal oye”. Such was the popularity of the song that it soon became the very symbol and soul of the movement. So much so that the movement itself came to be called the Pagdi sambhal Jatta movement.

Song from Movie 'Shaeed' (Martyr) sung by legend Mohammad Rafi.

Born free, live free and die free . Happy Independence Day India .

Keep it couple of notches down boys and girls.

These are very emotional days for all patriotic Indians and Pakistanis. Let us remember our freedom fighters who got these lands free from foreign invasion after great sacrifices. Let us value our freedom by giving a good impression that we have same feeling for this day (Independence day India and Pakistan).
We can fight out our differences some another day some another thread.

Thanks
