diwali is major festival of hinduism

this festival is not just confined to hinduism but all the dharmic(Indian born) religions celebrate it enthusiastically
its a 5 day long festival, the main day is tomorrow

this festival is celebrated to remove darkness on earth. as diwali night is no moon night so darkness is removed by burning diyas
house are lightened, gifts and sweets are distributed in neighborhood and relatives. Goddess of wealth(Lakshmi) is worshiped on this day. prosperity is wished to all

religious pundits ask everyone to help needy and poor ones on this auspicious day

diwali days are are one of the busiest days for my family
