This is the first time i've seen Islamabad flooded, pindi is a different story, can someone confirm if these flooding are because of the draining system blockage caused by metro ?

NS was stupid to say that. Hanif Abbasi lost, get over it. There are far better PMLN candidates, chose them to run from there if you must.

That said, Pindi often floods because of all the trash dumping (plastic bags) in rivers, and all the gutters lead to nala lai, which means they get chocked very easily. When i lived in Pindi, it was very common for Sadiqabad chowk to get flooded with even simple rain.

Due to the stupid governance system in Pakistan, often MNA/MPA have to direct simple things as cleaning of major gluts like these. I think this what Hanif Abbasi means, he is saying that the present MNA/MPA should handle this (btw, MPA is from PMLN )

No idea why E/F/G-11 areas got flooded. G-8 Could be blamed on Metro, but those other areas are much further away and shouldn't be affected by metro work.

I think people like simplistic answers, they like a devil to stone, even if none exists.

I mean, last year Peshawar got flooded during Dharna, surely no Metro to blame there?

That said, we should not tolerate flaws in Metro, after all we spent money on it.

The problem with incompetency is the direct backup of denial and lack of responsible people who would own their bloody problem creating mindset!

I mean if you have been CM of Punjab forever and NOT thought to upgrade the drainage system is worth a blame if you are new party then I can totally understand coz you are new to the area you dont really know how deep the previous party did their work but one CM forever and still priorities are not right doesnt deserve any shred of praise!
