Actually it should be legalized in Bangladesh.

1) Reduce unwanted population in over populated Bangladesh. Now instead of rejecting Rohingyas as Banglas, you could accept them and send them directly to .. I think you got the point.

2) Bangladesh could make money by exporting the meat to India

I find it abhorrent that 'civilized' Icelandic people are killing and eating dolphin. Dolphin is the most intelligent species in the world after human. It's intelligence is only slightly lower than human. It has a complex, thoughtful mind, has a wide range of emotion. There should be a global ban on hunting and eating dolphin.

If parents can decide if they can have an abortion or not why can't they decide if they want to sell their kids to a slaughter house for meat production.

What sort of post is this man? Ppl should never be allowed to do whatever they wish. These dolphins r highly intelligent creatures and their absence will create ecological imbalance. Therefore, their fate should never be in the hand of barbaric humans. It's great that BD has seperate laws to protect these beautiful creatures.

Oh man come oon.As far I know deer ( চিত্রা হরিণ) hunt is forbidden. So also hunting dolphins should be forbidden.

some people hunt deers for food, some for sport.... in tropical area.... most do it for sport and that's why it's banned in most countries.
in siberia or the norther parts of canada... alaska... it's actually not a big deal because people only hunt for food

i agree, it's a grey area. i am not talking about fate of animals or effects on environment by humans... i'm talking about morality, deciding what's right and wrong.... the more you try to control humans, the more they'll rebel... there should be a balance... so in that sense... letting people do what they please is better than saying no to people

Cow is not rare/threaten species but dolphins are, especially diver dolphins are endangered to be extinct, btw all wildlife is/are/will threaten because of humans population increases/developments/chemicals drainage through river,oceans,seas/habitat losses/global warming etc etc @SuvarnaTeja

Irrawaddy is the principal river of myanmar. But it's dolphin mainly prefer to live in Bangladeshi water. Seems like even the intelligent mammal Dolphin are fed up with burmese buddhist extremism and took refugee in a more tolerant environment.
