I think it suits there need to terrorize Kashmiri... The Kashmiri are neither armed nor shoot back. In real warzone I doubt its value. If this concept would be a good one then Eurocopter would have sold it like cookies.

My 2 cents.

If the punjabi, pashtun 'kashmiri's are unarmed, then we don't need to use a copter, a .303 will do.

HINT - its not an attack copter, but still needs self defence, no?

was more like 1 cent.

Not stealing land from Pakistan would have been the best option. A stupid Maharadja is more important then the whole nation? The brittish decided that it was Pakistan. UN conventions are clear. Still you keep sponsoring Tamil terrorists and occupy Kashmir.

0 cent.

Atleast Neo and I sat in one... And we saw them flying. We both thought that it would be a nice civil thingy. But that market is crowded with better chops.

Personally I found the cockpit (the Israeli version) a bit crowded.

Is it armoured? Cause when having weapons it surely means you will get a few holes. So they bought Eurocopter design, Italian composites, French engine, foreign weapons, Israeli avionics and marketing team and now they have sold it. Whay is actually the price and what will be the profit for India? Or is it like LCA. Trial to learn.

And strangely it is sold as Indian ?

Exactly goodperson, it reminds me of Rafael add for selling more weapons to India. The clip was indeed amaturistic but the words at the end made it clear how it possible...

Your partner in "indigenous" projects...

Somehow all projects in India are kind of "indigenous"... I read somewhere on AFM that they compare JF17 production for Pakistan sam eas assembling outdated Migs from Russia... :) It is a shame that AFM is degrading itself to a immature publication. Certainly ifthey sell Kashmir as fully Indian... Where is the good old quality label or is AFM made in India these days? Same as BBC...

Keeping emotions aside, this is step in right direction. Fully indigenous or not its a copter which has won few customers amongst good competition and thats what matters.

I agree. Those first few for free to Nepal were not real exports but now there are more nations going for a few. India itself bought numbers many would be jealous of. And even if it is less then it still is a start. In fact this is better then running into totally new technologies and find a wall. India had some problems with Druv but solved it with whatever they did. They atleast send the choppe around cause I did touched it a few times. Something the Pakistani still have to learn. I am waiting for decades to see the JF17. IT would come as a wooden model, then a testplane and even now we hardly believe that they do more then the usual simulator. Which is nice but a real plane makes headlines. We should learn from Russia... Sometimes a crashing plane makes a lot more impact (positive) then we ever can imagine. MKI crashed on Le Bourget but we did see how well it sells. And it is a nice plane to have.

Maybe I am expecting tooo much but it would be real something if both LCA and JF17 would be presented to the market. International market.
