Too many expectations, out of a man edging past his prime.
What caused it? Monetary reasons? Reputation? Job? Family?
One will never know.. but suicide is a sign that the pressure got too much for somebody who is expected to handle pressure.
May his family be able to cope with it well.

To the Pakistani friends in this forum Singh didn't commit suicide because of LCA:

Singh had spent nearly 38 years of his career flying combat aircraft and testing flying prototypes. He was shifted to his new post less than two months ago. Those who knew Singh said he had resisted becoming a director and his primary love was flying."Singh was elevated against his wishes. He was happy flying and the sudden shift to a desk job seemed to have disturbed him," a close associate of Singh told TOI.

RIP to Baldev Singh. Just to clarify, he was not associated with LCA. He was presently on a desk job at HAL and seems that he was unhappy with it. Till August, he was with IJT.

promotion is not the only thing you need in your life. may be family problems or something else.

Its not money problem probably.He was a highly decorated officer of the IAF and got a huge promotion recently.It has to be something else,something worse.
