Here I want to request Saudi govt that please don't stop hajj all at once. Instead, it may be done that a preselected group of people are performing hajj under very controlled circumstances. That way, neither Hajj will stop, nor safety will be broken.
May be, 1000 healthy men and women, who are preselected, held in quarantine for 15 days, can perform this.
Secondly, Saudi govt should telecast that around the globe.

Something like that will surely happen as its happening with Prayers and tawaf right now at Kabba. Hajj wont be completely abandoned but this year other nationalities wont be coming and only a few thousand will perform Hajj if Covid-19 is not controlled.

As a matter of fact Black plague hit mecca in the past specifically 1349 as several Pilgrims were infected during hajj in makkah and surroundings. In a previous hajj my mom and brother became sick after respiratory disease spread amongst hajjis and many people became sick. Please dont be ignorant and research before spewing such nonsense.

The virus will stay among us till a vaccine is found and mass vaccination made... till then, Only ONE transmission in a crowded environment, like Hajj per exemple... and you will get yourself thousands of new clusters all around the world after 2 weeks.

Right now, the job is made to not saturate the health care syst... by decreasing the propagation rate.
This Virus will come in waves, with the next, in Sept-Oct and into the winter.

Not for SARS.
And SARS was contained, and behaved a bit differently from nCov.

nCov/COVID-19 is new, highly infectious, significant fatality rate and have a long incubation period.
Someone can/will infect those around him for weeks the moment the virus start it's job.

Added to it, the fairly high % of ICU needed.

Ps: Many points are still unknown about it, Like Mutation,Origin,Incubation,transmission etc...
