There have been many occasions when Hajj was canceled before head or during the pilgrims from reasons ranging from War, Disease to difficulty in travels. One of the most infamous of these incidents was when In 865 AD Ismail bin Yousef, known as Al-Safak, who led a rebellion against the Abbasid Caliphate, massacred pilgrims gathered at the Arafat Mountain near Mecca, also forcing the cancellation of the Hajj.

And perhaps the most infamous incident when the Qarmatians under Abu Taher al-Janabi captured Mecca in 930 AD and killed thousands of Pilgrams and threw their bodies in ZamZam Well they also stole the Black Stone and took it with them to Hajar it stayed with them for the next 23 Years untill Abassid caliphs paid huge sums of gold as Ransom was returned in 952. It was wrapped in a sack and thrown into the Friday Mosque of Kufa breaking the stone into seven pieces which were then held together inside a silver frame that we see Today. During these 23 years Hajj was cancelled for 10 Years.

There have been many other occasions when Hajj was cancelled due to Disease and war. So people dont see cancellation of Hajj if it does not happens this year as something that weakens your faith. See this try to better yourself our Lord may be Angry at us for the Fassad we have spread all across his lands. We will see Kabba surrounded by millions of pilgrims next year. Inshallah.

While the End times wont come until people stop going to Hajj and forget about its importance. Even Right now there are hundreds of of millions who would still go if they could.

Bhaisaheb this sort of things are there in every religion, even in ours but our govt has asked all pilgrimages to be shutdown and any sensible hindu would support it. We shouldn't leave behind our rationalism.

As a matter of fact Black plague hit mecca in the past specifically 1349 as several Pilgrims were infected during hajj in makkah and surroundings. In a previous hajj my mom and brother became sick after respiratory disease spread amongst hajjis and many people became sick. Please dont be ignorant and research before spewing such nonsense.

Don't think of this covid virus as something you would like to avoid getting infected with, think about it as if you already have it and you need to stop transmitting it to others. Only then you will hopefully understand the situation.

The decision on hajj has yet to come this is an advisory to delay the agreement. Not a notification of ban on hajj.

Plus this don't means hajj will be stopped. It can still be done on govt lvl

Here I want to request Saudi govt that please don't stop hajj all at once. Instead, it may be done that a preselected group of people are performing hajj under very controlled circumstances. That way, neither Hajj will stop, nor safety will be broken.
May be, 1000 healthy men and women, who are preselected, held in quarantine for 15 days, can perform this.
Secondly, Saudi govt should telecast that around the globe.
