When Indians come along and defend something about Pakistan, it is probably bad for us. When Indians denigrate something to do with Pakistan it is probably bad for them. That is a general rule of thumb. As far as those voices in Pakistan that are howling at CPEC, well, somebody has to defend the Western position. It's just noise. Can CPEC be stopped now? Nope. Actually it would have been betterif they would have taken only Loans at least the contracts would have been awarded to Local people so the money would have stayed in Pakistan and more jobs would have been created.

but there are always prying eyes on such relationship most of the time because of envy
just like India tried cosying up with China in 50s with phrases like "Hindhi Chini Bhai Bahi" but ultimately failed
and now its acting like a jealous ex girlfriend

China has done more for Pakistan than any other country in the world. You have to go back and look at the circumstances in which Pak-China relations were forged. Pakistan has been surrounded by enemies and even our 'ally' America did more damage to us than anyone else combined. China stood by us through the worst times. I dare any Pakistani to challenge me on this. This recent propaganda against CPEC is just that- propaganda. Ignore it and be happy that we have a friend who is a true super-power and who treats us like an equal. Remember the refrain - Friends not Masters? Well that is China. God bless them.

When I was a kid I asked my dad who Pakistan's best friend was. I used to like American Rock music and hoped he would say America. At that time we were a firm US ally (Afghan War). His response surprised me because he said China. I asked why, and he said, because we were both poor when we became friends. Look now. True.
