i respect guru nanak... someone indeed had posted about that anniversary in "whatever" thread, and i had replied with my respects to guru nanak... i don't remember the poster's name but i can easily find out... perhaps you too refer to that posting??

but knowing sarthak's support for sangh parivar, he has posted this thread with anti-muslim bias and he has deliberately tagged me... look at his comments about me in the gujarat riots thread.

he is making fun of you and sikhism... his intention is clear... sorry, but truth.

He is no sikh hater,i have debated him long enough to know that.
I have never seen him making stupid comments.

I know the history well so no point in watching but reviews seem to be good.
But i generally stay away from religious stories and that too tragic ones.

Its a known fact aurangzeb was a tyrant and ruthless mughal leader so whats the issue with u?If u don't agree please debate rationally rather than unnecessarily reporting anyone.If u cannot just stay quiet.

Btw i am more interested in watching punjab 1984 which is the highest grossing punjabi movie of all times based on terrorism.

No he was Punjabi born in Amritsar. He was son of sikhs sixth guru Guru Hargobind. Kashmiri Pandits led by Pundit Kirpa Ram, came to Guru Tegh Bahadur at Anandpur in 1675 for protection against atrocities of Aurungzeb. They had faced stiff taxes, atrocities, cruelty under muslim Mughal governor of Kashmir. They asked for a solution. Guru replied "Such activities can only be stopped by a sacrifice of a great person". Just then 8 years old son of Guru Tegh Bahadur Gobind Rai (Later Gobind Singh) came along and saw his father in deep thoughts. He offered a possible solution by saying "who else is greater then you, father". Guru Tegh Bahadur told Kashmiri Brahmins "Go tell Aurungzeb that if they can convert your Guru then you will all become Muslims." Kirpa Ram obliged and Aurungzeb issued summons for Guru. Later Guru Tegh Bahadur was arrested brought to Delhi and executed after Aurungzeb failed in his attempts to convert Guru Sahib into muslim.
Unfortunatley during sikh genocide of1984 Gurdwara Rakab Ganj Sahib which marks the site of cremation of the ninth Sikh guru, Guru Teg Bahadur was subjected to a prolonged siege in which its periphery was damaged, and two Sikhs were roasted alive.

Yup it is quite a balanced film unlike other punjabi films which are totally one sided . Nowdays many blockhead producers are making films on those dark days of Punjab.
