Awsome news...We'll see moves of best Top guns in the world with their awesome flying machines..I'm really excited just thinking about encounter of Su-30 VS F-18 and Mig-29 vs F-15..damn..world is changing too fast..
actually it has always been Mig vs Hornet, and Flanker vs Eagle.
USAF has only seen migs in fight but never a single sukhoi, so yeah it will be very interesting.
This NATO thing becoming useless day by day.
Lets throw some live ammo in the mix, just for fun.
The entire point of these exercises is to learn new things. Both sides exchange valuable lessons in tactics, operations, as well as capabilities of their opponents skills and machines.
Russia has actually had many exercises with NATO and the US but it is usually naval drills, counter terrorism or mountain warfare. The Russians have trained with/against, Americans, French, Norwegians, Indians, Chinese, ect. Learning and sharpening your skills never stops.
lolz the name RED FLAG should be changed
Yeah but only if they're gonna show their true capabillities . There a reason why USAF don't use F22 in such exercises.
Well, that isn't official. Nowhere on the official Red Flag website has it said anything about Russian participation. This news has been taken from some lame blog written by a Russian and reproduced word-for-word in tens of other blogs sites on the net which unfortunately has been lapped up by the OP making it out as sensational news!!Guess who's coming to Red Flag? If you said the Russians, you're right...

Unless there's an official announcement of the countries participating, on the official web site, I'll take this news as a pinch of salt.
Cheers!
