And yeah btw there are more poor in India than Africa because our population is WAY MORE than them and that article was in in 2008-9 since then our economy has incread at about 8-9% for 2-3 years and lifted 80 million out of poverty while you get happy reading the article!

And not to forget that MAIN difference about China and India. India is democracy, you live in UK right? You know how hard it was to growing up in China no voting right, no human rights, no freedom, nothing and now how better it is in UK? Just Imagine UK but poor. As for voting Chinese people are far more proactive than that. If you want to change something you have to actually participate in government. Thats why their are 70 million communist members. Exactly right.

The Chinese government has the highest approval rating of any government in the world. Why?

1) Almost everyone in the country, has family members and/or friends who are party members. Even here in HK.

2) The CPC came to power through a "people's revolution". They know better than most, how important it is to keep the people on their side.
