Thats only one part of the story. We are not counting the business generated in other sectors (Dual use technology) or will get generated (Nuclear Sector, Aviation etc). Like other economies, US companies are desperately looking for newer and bigger markets and in these circumstances, it is imperative that US has good diplomatic relations with India. Things will only improve from hereon.

America has a long history of doing really awful things to other countries. Most people here will know some of those examples.

However, India lives in a very dangerous neighbourhood and the Americans are providing what the Russians and other cant the moment:

Major combat and support platforms that not only perform well but are backed with excellent support.

On top of that the USA has major diplomatic, economic, and industrial tools to can lend to India.

Do I like India depending on America? No

Does India have better options at this point in time? No

So its a pragmatic choice to work with the USA.

US did awful things to what countries? can you list those countries - maybe we can come to something thats common among those countries.

Also as an ally of Pakistan they had every opportunity to harm India badly during the wars - did they do that? one could argue that it was because of the Soviets, but then they could have done a lot covertly which they didn't. They did the bare minimum in arming Pakistan compared to their other partners - why was that? and whatever they did against us was because we were in the so called opposite camp.

Dear, you really think in case of full scale hostilities, PAF will give a damn about "restrictions". If you own a stick and sword, logic dictates use the better weapon.

No, they will not but this will give US and India justification to go nasty! lol

dear sir,

all I can say is war is war..... in any case over estimating PAF capabilities serves Indian interests in case of any hostilities, but underestimating any capabilities will cost us dearly.....

If push comes to shove even the mothballed A5 will fly... do not underestimate your opponent!
