That was a very detailed post. Back in the late 2000s and early 2010s I too believed the hype about Russian systems. But it turned out they weren't so incredible as they were advertised to be. I'm not saying they are bad systems,but like you said,they were hyped to be the best in the world.

Also,thanks for the links. The Patriot did prove very capable in Ukraine. We usually have PAC-2 and PAC-3 mixed in units for anti-ballistic and anti-aircraft defence. I also wish we had David's Sling,but...

Still,we need more Patriot batteries in Greece and we also have to replace the HAWK and all the Russian systems,since we can't upgrade them and we won't be able to get spare parts and more missiles now that we've destroyed our relations with Russia. There was talk about the IRIS-T SLM and Barak or Spyder. We're part of the IRIS-T production (the air-to-air missile) so that would be good for us. But still,the Army hasn't decided.


Anyway,it's very tiresome to see long lists of the same Turkish systems again and again. The discussion is all about promoting Turkish products.
