Cyprus is located in mediterranean sea, and disputes on Agean are more than territorial. There are some reaaal big issues.

Greeks are deluded, pretty much like China. They think they have rights over everywhere they've had 2500 years ago. This mentality is going to have to change sometime. They do not own Agean.

Making sense or not, it is Greece's right to do so. We had this conversation a long time ago. That is not the point.

Greek governments have established long ago that if Turkey feels threatened by a 12 mile possible move, it should agree to a middle line policy; something that actually is already quite generous since Greece doesn't have to do.

Agreed Turkey hasn't signed the treaty that gives Greece the right to 12 miles. But because one doesn't participate to a treaty signed by a considerable amount of countries, doesn't automatically make them right.

Greece was a key NATO country, forced by NATO to maintain a certain standard of military power, even nuclear at some point (same as Turkey). If you believe that a confrontation between Greece and Turkey will be painless for Turkey and a walk in the park not only are you dreaming but you are very dangerous too.

Greek armed forces have come on top on most single NATO/ US common exercise ,most of the times voted there even by your fellow countrymen service men participating in the common exercises. That level of quality in training and capability will not cause a terrible toll on any side trying to pick on us?

Even the famous Israeli air force and special forces have been handed their nuts in a plate recently.. don't be naive.

In case of war, We won't loose 10 000's of men. This is 21th century. We have armored vehicles, tanks, long-range missiles, superiour jets. What do Greeks have? Greek army nowadays has shrinked because of austerity. You can't match us in any aspect.

And who says we need to invade Greece? With our navy, long-range missiles and air superiority we can reach every square inch in Greece. Not to mention new projects of us. 1000 altay, **** load of helicopters, UAV's, stealth ships and jets coming soon.

What can Greeks do against that? Be honest.

We can destroy your tanks, APCS, other military installations with 24 hours once Turkish spy satellite starts its job. Greece won't be able to stop air, navy and land invasion. It is not even necessary to invade Greece. Because Greece is fully exposed to sea and doesn't have hinterland to retreat to our stealth ships and long-range missile can hit you without Greece being able to hit back.

So, what about Greek irredentism in Aegean then? When Italians left Aegean, they should give islands to Turkey which was the rightful owner of the Aegean Islands. These islands were TURKISH for God's sake, TURKEY was the legal owner of them. Greeks seized it unofficially.
Never forget what happened to West Thracians. Believe it or not, Turks were the majority in West Thrace back then. What about now?
