German university

It is a Government SHIP

https://www.portal-forschungsschiffe.de/schiffe/meteor

Official declared as "interdisciplinary " (allround) scientific research ship .
Deep drilling, deep dive vehicle, extreme accurate locations system, high capable data processing, maritime laboratory, and cyrpted communication all is on board this ship .

I have no opinion about possible electronic devices to measure " radiation" of all sources.

You're correct but it comes down to definition of a spy ship.

With the use of "SPY SHIP METEOR" i'm thinking your thinking of James Bond.

No, James Bond wouldn't use Military Ships. He operates covert :-)
I could edit an write "Intelligence Gathering Ship ".
This ship is extreme capable and under the flag of Ministry for Research.

Interdisciplinary ( Allround Scientific Ship).

Sailing back to Catania.

It's wasn't a spy ship, it was a ship that did research on behalf of the german university of Heideburg, we had granted them license for the research and it was in the sea between Samothrace and Limnos, when turkish coast guard harassed it and told him to leave because it was on "turkish" waters. Then the captain foolishly asked for permission of you, after being harassed multiple times by turkish coast guard and then then we cancelled his license, so he left for good.

I hope the Griks are really enjoying this little temporary "authority" that the Western powers have granted them in the Aegean Sea. With the mandate of the Lausanne Treaty coming to an end soon, it's not meant to last much longer. And mind you, Turkey now has excellent relations with the enforcers (mainly the UK, France, Italy) whereas Grease owes them billions of euros. Literally.

I want the Turks to ban dancing in France again. Just for a day. For old time's sake. :)

Why do so many people think Lausanne treaty is gonna end?
