Govt’s incompetence costs Rs404 bn to people, country

Prices of wheat ,sugar, and other food items are sky rocketed and people are unable to meet there expenses..nobody cares about gdp or any other indicator as common people with average salary is unable to meet household expenses .. this period is really a curse ..IK seems unable to handle it
Imran really is not able to handle this mess that was created by ppp and pmln.. Simply bcoz its not a 2 years job.. System is corrupt to the core.. As corrupt as ppp and pmln was...most of the country's incompetents are in services in all the departments.. Corruption and incompetence is not in their nature but is their nature.. And it will take atleast a decade to overhaul them entirely.. And delicious topping is, their followers who were sleeping since independence suddenly woke up and realized that imran is incompetent... How can imran teach a lesson of competence and honesty to the students which hav done phds in incompetence and corruption.... Today is not for us surely.. But tomorrow will.. But at what cost? Only u ll hav to sacrifice your today... Now its up to you that u hav courage and determination or not..

This is the story about just two items if we include loss in GDP, loss in tax collection, Cotton output loss, electricity losses, gas prices, drug prices etc, it will be trillions.
These are the only two affected by PTI rest are directly affected by policies of Mian Sanp and Dars blunder in PMLN tenure...

Loss in GDP is directly due to covid and is same with every country...

Tax collection increased mere bahi...
Cotton output is their fault ? How so ?

And there has been no electricity loss except efficiency degradation in Jinnah Solar park and guess who brought that solar park and put it in dusty areas of Bhawalpur ?

Ever wondered why are they sly rocketed?

Before COVID GDP was floored till 1.9%, COVID provided a shield for dismal performance. Cotton output is down 39%, what good has done the Pm and his team??

Bureaucrats run the country, not SAPM's. You're governance is as good as the data it gets from down below. If bureaucrats are fudging numbers what are you going to do; as is the case we saw in the sugar crisis. People down below in connivance with sugar mills said bohat pari hai and got it exported.

So, bureaucrats: bad, they are cheaters if they aren't honest with the state. They should learn to serve the country, not IK and certainly not NS the certified chor.

What mess?? Wheat and sugar stock were historic high when PMLN left the government. This government exported those stocks and importing same. Is this PMLN's fault??

To karwao na bhai. Why doesn't PML-N initiate cases to get them removed?

Khair, we all know very well how bureaucracy works in Pakistan. NS kept them in line through Shabaza who was basically the Kaan Tutta of PML-N jo haddi daal k kaam krwata ta. Not to say that it isn't more or less the case right now, but the reduction of the haddi's on offer has basically meant that there is a silent revolt within the bureaucracy against IK.

Stupid analysis by shahzed pirzada who usually runs around like a headless chicken without much credibility. However, I have no shame in saying that PTI govt so far has largely failed in containing the inflation and dealing with hoarding mafias.

I know it was going to be very difficult in the first place, but lets acknowledge - a lot could have still be done in a better way. A lot needs to be fixed and improved in the way PTI govt is functioning. Inflation needs to be contained asap otherwise this alone can kick PTI out of power in next elections.

I apologize, I am running late for work, ill post more charts to counter Nawaz news group "The News" PDM (Pakistan dacoit Movement ),

Here is the question to you the economist:

Nawaz Sharif’s government obtained a whopping $35 billion in new loans during his four-year tenure to repay maturing debt and keep official foreign currency reserves at a level which could give a sense of economic stability to investors.

About $17 billion or nearly half of the total loans obtained from July 2013 to June 2017 were utilised to repay the previous debt, shows statistics maintained by the finance ministry. The government added net $18 billion to the country’s total external debt and liabilities – the highest amount added by any government during its tenure.

From July 2013 to June 2017, Pakistan’s total external debt grew by 30% to $79.2 billion, according to an International Monetary Fund (IMF) report. Out of this, external public debt was about $62.3 billion – also up by 28% compared with the figure four years ago, shows the IMF report.

The maximum number of loans – amounting to $10.1 billion, the highest taken out in any single year during the country’s 70-year history – was obtained during the last year of Nawaz’s government.

Starting from July 2013, with every passing year, the quantum of external debt kept growing due to the government’s inability to implement policies that could have ensured sufficient non-debt creating inflows.

PTI government is dealing with financial mess left behind head on and starting to show a little progress for starters Rupee Value is trading on real market value and not artificially inflated with borrowed money to keep inflation low.

How was Nawaz planing to continue on that path (borrow and spend) with empty treasury Pakistan was literally months or 2 away from bankruptcy?

Government is borrowing heavily from commercial bank so banks are reaping profits. Cement companies have gone through major expansion recently, the industry is not producing as per its potential, still 18 million ton of 70 million ton is underutilized.

This makeup zada has zero credibility. Remember when he was barking against PTI government for not implementing strict lockdown like Modi. Anybody taking this najaiz son of Mir Shakeel ur Rehman seriously needs to get their head checked.

I agree with you on inflation. PTI government could have done more to counter and control the mafias in every sector.

You are just barking without any proof. Cement dispatches were 5.2m in September HIGHEST IN THE HISTORY OF THE COUNTRY IN A SINGLE MONTH.

I'll keep it as simple as I can so Here is the question How was Nawaz planing to continue on that path (borrow and spend) because Pakistan was literally months or 2 away from bankruptcy?

The thread is about food inflation and mis-governance of PTI government in controlling food inflation.

According to this SBP report Pakistan external debt were 75 billion in June 2018,

While this report says it was 69 billion

Every thing you said is a plain lie.

Yes because the cement industry has started multiplying its capacity two years ago.
