Govt rejects Pak Suzuki’s demand, turns down Audi’s assembly-only plan

As I said before, we can wait to see how Audi responds to its initial plan being rejected. I am only being realistic since the total numbers of sales in the Pakistani market for such cars are small relative to the investment needed for a full scale plant.

Wait to observe the initial plan of Audi is not called being realistic. Wait for Audi to decline first. Have little faith. :D

If i am being realistic, VW/Audi will agree to the plans and will be invested on Pakistan for the long terms. Why? People pay premium price for the non-premium model which will be taken by Audi whereas for VW, people already pay more for cheapen models that costs more than VW affordable price.

I updated my previous post. Check it out.

Exactly. We will wait to see how it goes. Besides, Hyundai/Kia will be investing on Pakistan too.

Hyundai/Kia's plans will be subject to similar analyses about investment justifiable on the basis of expected sales.

If the numbers work out, sure. If they don't, then no.

Do you understand the term "the market is literally open for grab"? :D

Do you understand how large multinationals justify huge investments based on expected returns?

Justify on huge investments in the market that is literally open for grab to meet expected returns? I am tired of saying literally which cannot be more literal than that to make the point more clearer than ever. :D

I don't think you even understand what "literally" means. :D

Companies grab markets figuratively, actually.

Except in Pakistan that the market is literally open for grab. That's why i used the words literally more than one time in our on-going debate.

Next best non-premium model such as Camry and Accord are deemed as premium for Pakistan which they pay more than the premium costs of Audi/Infiniti for the non-premium model that is actually cheaper in the rest of the world. Why? No competition.

The market is literally open for grab. This reformed policy will take Pakistan to the right direction to ensure fair policy for new comers as well to justify the competitive price that can only happen in the competitive field.

Insha Allah. Masha Allah.

How many cars do you think Audi can sell per year in Pakistan and at what price points?
AUDI sells about 1000 cars per year if take an average its about $50-$60 million per year its pretty good
