Officials should not have told the court that it somehow undermines national interest. Now, I believe, the high court will definitely ask govt to disclose it or face the contempt of court. These scums (Judges and media ) love to play the game when it concerns national interests.

I think this is a fair criticism, and an unnecessary distraction that PMIK is brining on himself. Their counter argument is likely to be that "these hooligans" will make a mountain out of nothing, so these thieves are not the right party to this process. In many Western countries Ombudsman (independent), often driven such checks in an objective approach. Perhaps PTI should give this to a Federal Ombudsman this task. This way it will get the right scrutiny and also hold PTI to account which is the right thing to do.

I agree that there is a better way to deal with this situation without creating any unnecessary political controversy, rather than classifying the information. PMIK is not corrupt, but that is precisely why such information must be opened up for all to see. Why hide something that should be disclosed as standard practice?

Government clearly prefers this deflection tactic over accountability.

Next would come barrage of conspiracy theories about conflict of interest and failed foreign ventures in the government tenure.

All i would say government and mullahs have a similar response when questioned. Pakistan aur Islam khatre me hai. No sane person believe in any soft power we may project but is insistence of a select few. Qaum ki bigri hui betiyaan hain ye
