Whatever happened to Gairat brigade and Youthias.. Their kaptaan is ready to crawl in front of IMF and in turn Amreeka...what a saviour has Pakistan selected...
Why don't you donate $20 billion dollars to Pakistan to save the Gairat.

Mr America take it easy ...
no electricity, no gas, over taxation, corrupt fbr etc., --- Pakistanis are left with two options, either take the investment out (like so many units moved to Bangladesh) or produce tons of babies.

When the tools of production aren't in place, how do you expect production or you come and setup a unit and set an example for lazy Pakistanis how the job is done.

Pakistan’s IMF Problem
Jul 31, 2018 NADEEM UL HAQUE
In exchange for bailouts over the past three decades, Pakistani governments have repeatedly agreed to draconian spending cuts and arbitrary taxes in pursuit of fiscal targets. As a result, the country's economy is as weak as ever, and its state capacity has been hollowed out.

ISLAMABAD – After Pakistan’s recent election, Imran Khan and his Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party are now forming a new government. As usual, it will be greeted by an economic crisis. A trip, cap in hand, to the International Monetary Fund seems inevitable.

Pakistan, after all, is an IMF addict. The country has already spent 22 of the past 30 years in a dozen different IMFbailout programs.

I'm sorry if you find the truth as bitter but the fact is many Pakistanis want everything for free or cheap from govt. Petrol prices are one of the cheapest in Pakistan whereas in other south asian or developing countries it is higher, minimum wage is higher in Pakistan compared to nations that are on similar poverty level, electricity theft is favorite time pass of our own Pakistani citizens due to which Pakistan is facing huge circular debt, while there is poverty and less jobs but baby boom is like an sport which create further poverty and unemployment, etc etc. We are fond of "imported" maal, even if it is worst quality than our own Pakistani made. How does people like you expect the govt to take care of all this $h1t?

.
What Pakistan has selected is a hundred times better than the assholes the ignorant and mentally deprived folk have been selecting before him.
But yeah I do feel pity for the mentally deprived, though I have nothing but disgust for the lower levels of mentally deprived who actually still find deluded and absolutely ridiculous reasoning to still support the assholes...

Let's list down those alternatives and send them a list instead of just giving out expert opinion on things which they have obviously already considered?
Try Saudi Arabia and China then.

That is my suggestion.

You just quoted my post for the sake of useless arguments, I have no time for this.

I can't be more clear that the tools of production in Pakistan is either missing or very expensive to compete, if you can't understand this simple thing, than there's no point in wasting time.

Regarding electricity, I posted figures couple of hours ago, you missed that I think, it's the influential class which is responsible for circular debt.

I know, once Pakistanis move to west/america, they start finding all sorts of faults in the country.

Amusing to see Gairatmand Youthias Already lost confidence on Kaptaan bring back looted 200 billions... LoL

Listen dude, you were the one who quoted me with your nonsense rant, you don't have time then stfu and don't quote.

Your entire post is just rant develop by reading crap here and there. The fact is that Pakistani minimum wages is way higher than other regional and similar poor nations, why would a company do business here in Pakistan if they have to pay higher wages?

KARACHI: Leading industrial associations of Sindh have said that the provincial government will damage the interests of industries if it increases minimum wage to Rs25,000 per month.

They said the government needed to reduce the cost of production instead of increasing it by taking such measures, according to a press release.

Chairpersons and office-bearers of seven industrial town associations of Karachi held a joint meeting to discuss draft of the labour policy (a framework of industrial relations) and recommendations of the first Sindh Tripartite Labour Conference held in December 2017.

They said wages in Pakistan were already high compared to competing regional countries.

https://tribune.com.pk/story/1627183/2-industrialists-oppose-rs25000-per-month-minimum-wage/

Similarly people in Pakistan expect govt to provide them subsidy on petrol/gasoline, whereas govt try to cover up the cost from industries and businesses, why would govt provide cheap petrol/gasoline for citizens who use cars to go from point a to point b when infact they can use a bucycle? This petrol is one of the top reasons of trade deficit of 27billion $. Pakistan's gas rates are cheaper than France, UK, Germany, India, Bangladesh, China, US, Afghanistan and slightly more expensive than Saudi Arab, Iran, etc (countries that produce oil).

I don't have to say much about electricity choors of Pakistan, seems like good amount of citizen are involved in this. Whole circular debt is due to it.

But more than half of that cost is due to the “allowed cost” of power theft. The actual cost of theft somewhat exceeds that number.

And yes, the government is actually resigned to the fact that there are a very large number of people in Pakistan who steal electricity,

IMF is not an option. Sit down with China and KSA and seek a bailout package. Whatever China and KSA demand cannot be worse than IMF. There is always room to negotiate.

the refinery in Gwadar means Saudis corner 100% of the market for refined petroluem products
that means crude comes from Saudi Arabia and profits go back to Saudi Arabia

. .

I don't like Asad Umar's approach. He is already being praised in US/Western circles as their man.

We have no issues with that. It is still a win win for both KSA and Pakistan. Pakistan will benefit from the refinery.
