Govt decides to release Khaleda

Pakistan should give her and all pro-pakistan elements in Bangladesh asylum. Why are we not protecting our people or interests?

.
Begum zia was let down by Ghaddar amry. They are bunch of Ehsan foramosh. They forgot the contributions of General Zia, marhoom.

.
No testing kits...no ppe for doctors...no treatment...no preparation....the worst kind of government which will hide dead bodies and news....i can go on.

Bal lunatic ministers still lying and trying to hide dead ppl numbers but this virus will have too many dead to hide facts.

We dont have a single hospital which is prepared for treatment for covet 19. Like zero! What a fucked up government. Doctors are now refusing to touch patient who have just common cold can u blame them? I dont.

In bd if you have covet 19 it will be death sentence.
Well your points are valid no disagreement. But still I wish best for our country. Now God almighty knows what is going to happen.

Lol. But @Al-zakir, @Old School suggests that Zia was pro indian, so is his son Tareq. So I guess naturally Khaleda Zia is also pro indian like her husband and son. ;).

So what is your comment on @Old School? ;)

Yes please do it and prove that AL is right when they say Ziaur Rahman is Pakistani.

If you give her asylum, Hasina will be extremely happy. Because she will say that since Zia is Pakistani, so Khaleda Zia got asylum in her husband's place. It will be a decisive victory for Hasina ;).

He probably got mixed up with Ershaad.

@Old School your opinion please ;).

I long suggested that you read the book written by Major Dalim. The book is called, 'From Zia to Khaleda and Aftermath'. Late colonel Farook also wrote a book called ' The road to Freedom'. These books gave important historical accounts which carry more weights than hearsay.

Yes because he was good, not selfish like Khaleda Zia. And also if Khaleda Zia survive, she may survive as 10 seat party if good or bad is the standard of it.
Yes, Ershad was good but he had little sense of self-respect. He brought more than hundred Adam to Tokyo when Biman opened its first flight and he came to visit Japan on that flight. He was a front man pushed forward by India in the absence of a strong BAL at that time.

He had to leave because BAL had become stronger after Hasina played some dirty political games at the advice of India during his term. He was no longer needed by India.

.
This lady Khalida is a threat to Indo Bangla strategic alliance.... let's all Indian and BD members pray she doesn't come to power in future....

If you want good relations with a country, you need to have good relations with both ruling party and opposition.

Unfortunately we always talk about push forward by India as if they are really super power. They had actually zero ability that time. Besides our political fate is controlled by our armed forces, we got the heritage from Pakistan as our armed forces are a continuation of Pakistan army as all officers that time were trained by PMA. And still the heritage continues. Egypt, Bangladesh and Pakistan follow the same path. In Bangladesh we don't get such informations as our country was never politically in leading position in this region or in Muslim world.

So when Ershad was running a rubber stamp govt and enraged both internal and external strong allies, then for the reputation of country and it's rulling class it was necessary to take him down.

So arranging a powerful AL and a puny BNP ( 1991 election winning was necessary to make BNP bigger) was necessary.

Otherwise that time Hasina was no good politician. Even she was not nearly as cunning as she is now when she was in power in 1996. She used to talk more and mock others that time. Later in 2001 - 2006 BNP jamat regime she had taught some lesson and now became a cunning political leader. Although she has good feeling for people unlike the other lady. But that's different argument.

I remember your suggestion brother. I was just teasing @Al-zakir when he said that you mixed up Zia with Ershaad! :)

You look like practical unlike other Indians and some emotional Bangladeshis.

Major Dalim's books have Urdu and English versions too ! Get them if you can. He is an important eye witness to many historical events which are not covered by popular Bengali narratives.

Khaleda Zia is forgotten from Bangladeshis mind. She is done and dusted long time ago.

.
Army is running these key policies now. She has new understandings with the Army. BNP is going back to where it was born— cantonment. Tareq's political future is zero.
@Old School, brother I am thinking about your idea again. What do you mean by BNP is going back to cantonment? Is BNP going to see new leadership outside Zia family who is probably a retired military officer? As you said that Tareq Zia has no future?
