This act is condemnable and against the charter of rights, only after the curfew is lifted will we get a clearer picture. I read the 'everything is back to normal' article in ToI and found it odd, shame on the media houses.

I think the reply was sarcastic, alluding to dual nature of posters here, critical news about India from Indian media gets accepted while for everything else Indian sources are not accepted or outright refused.

Open up the volunteers warriors recruitment even in Azad Kashmir million can join and with Pak Army get enter into occupied Kashmir as we have heavy presence of Fidayeen over there too. We might face heavy casualties but for sure Hindu Army run back with tail between their legs.
And if war start let be it AAR YA PAAR or live with this sxit for ever.

A fact finding mission that went into Kashmir for five days has published its report saying that it is children who are most vulnerable to the atrocities in Indian Occupied Kashmir.
The fact finding mission consisted of women rights activist Kavita Krishnan, economist Jean Dreze, Maimoona Mollah from the All India Democratic Women’s Association, the women’s wing of the Communist Party of India (Marxist), and Vimal Bhai, a social activist.

Members of the commission went to Srinagar, Sopore, Bandipora, Anantnag, Shopian and Pampore between August 9 and 13.
Kashmir is in lockdown amid a troop surge after the Indian Government scrapped Article 370 which gave special status to the territory. It is already the most militarized region in the world.
A member of the commission told Huffington Post that Kashmir is like occupied Iraq or occupied Palestine. But it is children who seem to be in the greatest threat.

“We met people in villages all over Kashmir, where little kids have been… there is no other word to use… they have been abducted by the police.”, Kavita Krishnan said.
“They have been picked up from their homes in the middle of the night from their beds and they are held indefinitely, illegally, either in army camps or in police stations. They are being beaten up,” she continued.
She also said that the parents were unable to find out where their children were or whether they would come back at all.
The commission also found and interviewed an 11 year old kid who had been arrested and beaten up. But the shocking part is that he said that there were children even younger than him in custody.
Kashmir already has a history of mass disappearances from custody, especially young men. The use of pellet guns has also blinded hundreds.
However, the spirit of the children in Kashmir seems to be unbroken. “As soon as we set foot in Srinagar, we came across a few small children playacting in a park. We could hear them say ‘Iblees Modi’. ‘Iblees’ means ‘Satan’,” the report says.
The report says that “There is intense and virtually unanimous anger in Kashmir against the Indian government’s decision to abrogate Articles 370 and 35A, and also about the way this has been done.”
“The Indian media’s claims of a rapid return to normalcy in Kashmir are grossly misleading. They are based on selective reports from a small enclave in the centre of Srinagar.”
Critics believe the abrogation of Article 370 is an attempt to change the status of Kashmir as the only Muslim majority region in India.

Yes, we did. We spoke to several Kashmiri pandits. We have video documentation of one of them. He is trying to explain that Kashmiriyat is a thing and that means celebrating Eid. He is a pandit, who is saying ‘our festival Eid is coming.’ We met Sikhs. We met Hindu migrant labourers. They all spoke about the safety and the terrible situation that everyone was in.
Yes, but they are not allowing protests. Protests have been sporadic, I agree. There was one huge protest in Soura near Srinagar. That was correctly reported. It was a very large protest. We met pellet gun victims, who were not protestors, but bystanders there. We met some of those kids. You can’t gag and bind people and say there are no protests.

Why would the authorities be picking up children as young as that?
As an act of intimidation. Their parents assured us that their children have not thrown stones. Their parents said they have been picked up on the way to mosques, from their homes, from their beds at night. That kind of thing. They are making it a point to raid houses in the night and take away young boys in the night. It creates immense fear, especially among the women. The women have whispered to us that they have been molested during such raids. This was the story in every village that we visited. My question is what is the Indian media doing? Why are they not visiting these places? We could visit them.

Yes. We have video documentation of family members and of a child who had been released one day before. We do have documentation.

One video is of a 11-year-old child who was released one day before Eid and he is saying that he was kept in custody from fifth onwards and beaten up, and there were children younger than him in custody. Then, we have video of family members, we are not identifying them because they are scared, but their teenage boy has been picked up in the middle of the night from his bed and he is being kept illegally. They have gone to the thana but they keep taaloing them, saying it is not in our hands, we cannot do anything. They are really afraid because there is no record of their arrest. Tomorrow, if something happens to him or he just vanishes, there is no record that he was arrested at all. We have that on record.

Lowest of the low lives can do such acts. India is not a country which should be dealt with peace they are never going to admit their wrong doings. No matter how angry I get reading such news I don't even think of lifting a finger against Hindu women let alone beating and raping them. I would never allow anyone to do that either.
