Sindh Governor leaves for Dubai on private visit

Sources said Dr Ebad Khan left for Dubai along with his family, adding he will leave for Singapore from there.

KARACHI: Governor Sindh Dr Ishratul Ebad Khan, a member of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), resigned from his post, Express News reported Saturday.
He has faxed his resignation to the Presidency and Governor House.
He abruptly departed for Dubai on late Friday night and intends to stay there for the next few days after which he will travel to London.
According to sources, Dr Ebad felt that he was not fulfilling his role as Governor and was concerned that he was not being informed about the situation in the province or the measures being taken against it.
This is the third time that Dr Ebad has decided to resign from his post. He announced that he was leaving the government in February 2013 and before that on June 27, 2011.
He assumed office on December 2, 2002 was the youngest and longest serving Governor of Sindh since Pakistan’s inception.
The MQM has been decrying the ongoing operations and urged human rights organisations to take notice of ‘the illegal arrests’ of its workers.
Rangers have conducted several raids in the city and have arrested suspected criminals, including members of MQM, during their raids.
According to Rangers’ officials, 30 suspects have been detained, including extortionists and kidnappers, a huge cache of arms and ammunition have also been recovered.
A police spokesperson claimed that 152 suspects were rounded up in 129 raids in different areas of the city. “The police also recovered 49 firearms and five bombs,” he had added.

ڈاکٹر عشرت العباد خان ملکی تاریخ میں سب سے زیادہ و طویل عرصے تک گورنر کے عہدے پر تعینات رہنے والے گورنر رہے۔ عشرت العباد خان نے 27 دسمبر 2002 کو عہدہ سنبھالا۔

گورنر سندھ کی اچانک دبئی روانگی کے بعد اسپیکر سندھ اسمبلی آغا سراج درانی قائم مقام گورنر سندھ کے فرائض انجام دیں گے۔ تاہم گورنر ہاؤس کے ذرائع کا کہنا ہے کہ گورنر سندھ کا دورہ نجی نوعیت کا ہے اور ان کے اہل خانہ بھی اس کے ساتھ دبئی روانہ ہوئے ہیں، وہ دبئی سے سنگاپور بھی جائیں گے۔ سماء

when a guy gives resignation paper, its completely upto the authority to decide whether to accept or reject resignation, you can not cancel your resignation yourself

Ever heard of withdrawing the resignation papers??? Yea! he can come back and do that! Withdrawing the application is quick and law allows it! Eshrat did that in the past!

ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan telephoned Sindh Governor Dr. Ishratul Ibad Khan and inquired about the reason of his visit to Dubai.

During the conversation, the Governor apprised Nisar Ali Khan regarding the reason of his visit to Dubai.

The Interior Minister also contacted Senator Babar Ghauri and discussed with him the Karachi situation.

The interior Minister also hinted to remove reservations of MQM regarding the situation in Karachi.
