Powerful families living in this sh1thole? Powerful my azz.

Households in this block are each demanding tens of millions of yuan compensation for relocation, even though the land on which the apartment building sits belongs to the state.

These are NOT land owners. They want to become rich by blackmailing the government。This is a chance in a life time.

Things of a similar nature occur all the time and all over China。

you are not correct all the time...some force evictions by threats & without compensation are happening at remote places..

Maybe in India where development might equates political corruption.




Just one family lives in this building. The rest already made deal and left. This family wished much larger compensation. Once the road was built, the contractor left, and the family now seeks to renegotiate. But contractor has little incentive because the home is not an obstacle to its construction except being an eye sore.

The family went all in with a pair of queens, but the opponent had a pair of aces--most unfortunate.

I once was almost killed by such nail house.

A old house locates in depression.

Gv wants to build a nice 8 lanes road which will across the house.

But owner wants huge compensation which can not be accepted .

So this 8 lanes road needs to draw a sharp turn in front of the house.

I drive on the road and almost get killed.

I did not notice the turn because the road is a straight line if you look at its distant view.

When I find there is a big hole in the middle of the road , it is too late.

Check it out . this is a old accident . Now the road is 8 lanes and much higher but the house is still there.
