I am a native punjabi language speaker from Gujranwala, paindoo means villager and only villager. There is no such thing as paindu being a "mindset", that is plain BS.

Pind means village and paindu is someone living in a village
for village we here use the word thata ٹھٹا the old villages near river are called thata and the villages away from river in canal areas are called chak and there is another word for village which I don't know how to write and the villages of balochs are called jhok جھوک
